四月：AIT@40「貿易與投資月」：AIT@40最終篇章倒數計時！為慶祝AIT 40歲生日，我們為2019年每個月訂定一個主題，凸顯美台在各個領域的成就。四月是AIT@40「貿易與投資月」，在這整個月中，AIT舉辦了公開演說、工作坊和訓練來彰顯美台的貿易與投資關係。2019年4月15日，我們舉辦了「台灣關係法 & AIT@40：40年友誼慶祝酒會」，以歡慶《台灣關係法》40週年。很榮幸邀請到蔡英文總統、前美國眾議院議長保羅·萊恩，以及美國眾議院科學、太空和技術委員會主席艾笛·伯尼斯·強森，與AIT處長酈英傑和AIT主席莫健大使一同在我們的內湖新館致祝賀詞。美國國會議員、前總統馬英九、立法院長蘇嘉全、立法委員、行政院代表、地方政府和商界領袖都出席了這場盛會。

April: AIT@40 Trade & Investment Month: We’re counting down our AIT@40 highlights month by month as we approach our AIT@40 finale! To celebrate AIT’s 40th birthday, we selected a special theme for each month in 2019 to highlight our joint accomplishments in that area. APRIL was AIT@40 Trade & Investment Month. Throughout the month of April, AIT highlighted our trade and investment relationship through public speeches, workshops, and trainings. On April 15, 2019 we also marked the 40th anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act (TRA) with a special event entitled TRA & AIT@40: Celebrating 40 Years of Friendship. We were honored to have President Tsai Ing-wen, former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan, and Chairwoman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology Eddie Bernice Johnson join AIT Director Brent Christensen and AIT Chairman James Moriarty in offering remarks at a ceremony held at our new office compound in Neihu. Prominent individuals from the United States and Taiwan, including Members of U.S. Congress, former President Ma Ying-jeou, Speaker Su Jia-chyuan, members of the Legislative Yuan, representatives of the Executive Yuan, local government leaders, and business leaders also attended the ceremony.
