A week ago, I found out that @_vickey_chen_ was baking 100 cupcakes to help Beyond Border Malaysia provide meals to families affected by the lockdown.
I asked her how I can contribute and she added me in the group chat.
A group of kind hearted folks started doing this during Wesak Day to cook and bake food for 10 - 20 homes each week.
All the food is distributed by Beyond Border Malaysia to B40 communities.
Last Saturday, they had prepared 3046 meals with 2700 pastries. Today, the plan is to prepare 3050 meals & 3000 pastries , 100 of which, is these 🧁😍.
When I decided at the 11th hour to increase my contribution to 100 cupcakes, hubby said “wouldn’t it be so much easier to just contribute money or to just buy cupcakes?”
He is right.
But there is something more satisfying doing it on your own with the whole family helping out. The bond? Is priceless!
Thanks again Vickey for allowing me to play a ᵗⁱⁿʸ part in this noble initiative. I’m so humbled by the experience.
