Many (and I mean it when I said many) and that not surprising including some classmates from uni ( take note I did medical science as undergraduate and the circle mostly consists academic scholars, some PhD in the making etc...) did not understand plant based, vegetarian, vegan, meat free, pescetarians, or lacto-ovo... And I don't blame them because we are often comfortable in our own zone, and curiosity only reaches as far as where it fulfills our needs .
Nutrition as medicine and cure and prevention has been getting more attention in the recent years and it is important to open our mindsets to first and foremost be willing to accept new data and new research studies. Learning how nutrition work with better health and living is essentially the core to quality lifestyle and that we should all pay some little bit more of attention and thoughts to what we consume, and what's best in a good balance between good healthy and great lifestyle.
This here is a good one by some top names like Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Cameron, and Jackie Chan. Now if these names isn't good enough as a package to watch this thing... I don't know what else is. Money and whatever propaganda aside, how about giving this a watch for some extra knowledge?

超興奮!今天開始我正式成為「康乃爾大學數位學習課程」(eCornell)的學生啦!報名了一個為期六週的植物營養學證照課程,主要是由營養學界的巨人柯林.坎貝爾博士授課。😍
12年前我選擇素食完全是為了動物,沒有其他原因。但多年來我看到身邊許多人深受吃動物所帶來的健康問題所苦(二型糖尿病、多種癌症、心臟病、阿茲海默症、肥胖等等)。更進一步想,我們每個人都是地球的細胞,如果自己都不健康了,要怎麼去療癒他人、療癒地球呢?
由於政府政策、產業操縱以及一般人缺乏批判性思考能力、慣於對主流知識照單全收,用全食物蔬食來預防疾病的力量還太少人知道了。
也因此,我近兩年在營養學公益組織NutritionFacts.org就職,學到了太多以前無法想像會學到的東西。現在,我決定要更有系統學習植物營養學,希望學成後能對工作、對更多人都有所幫助。
因為我自己也是今天才開始上課,所以還沒辦法告訴大家對課程的評價~~這點就只能等六週後分享了!😄

Just like I mentioned in my previous video, what you choose to AVOID is completed up to you. The goal is to consume a WELL-BALANCED DIET that emphasises on the consumption of healthy real plant-foods, while reducing the intake of unhealthy plant foods as well as animal products.
I’ve created this meal plan to be MOSTLY plant-based, but with one meat recipe on every alternate day.
If you have been struggling to make a transition to eat better or you have failed in all sorts of different diets out there, then the plant-based approach may suit you.

What is a Plant-Based Diet? Is it vegetarian? Vegan? Can you eat meat? Well, the truth is that, the definitely of a plant-based diet defers depending on who you ask. Generally, it is a lifestyle choice that emphasises on eating more real, whole foods that comes from plants. To me, plant-based does not mean completely eliminating lean sources of protein!
