經典搖滾天團 The Rolling Stones 鼓手 Charlie Watts 逝世，享年80歲。
據官方聲明指出，Charlie Watts 是今天稍早在家人陪伴下，於倫敦的醫院安詳離世。
Charlie Watts 自 1963 年加入樂團一路至今，和主唱 Mick Jagger 與吉他手 Keith Richards 共同參與了每一張錄音室專輯的錄製，絕對是當代最具代表性的鼓手之一。他在八月初，便因手術後需要時間復原，而退出了樂團將在美國進行的巡演行程，當時他還對自己的缺席表達遺憾與歉意。
消息一出，Paul McCartney、Elton John、John Mayer 與 Liam Gallagher 等多位音樂人紛紛於社群網站表達悼念。
