2020年快要進入尾聲了，讓我們來檢視一下2019/20學年度國際學生的流動狀況如何。美國的國際留學生已經連續第五年超過100萬人，這個數目占全世界國際學生人數的五分之一，遠遠超過其他國家。留美的國際學生中，半數以上選修理工科學(STEM)領域。另外，唸藝術的學生也增加了2.2%。新冠肺炎是IIE (國際教育交流協會，每年進行美國國際學生調查和報告的單位) 成立有史以來遭遇的第12次大流行疾病，歷史數據顯示，每一次流行病過後，國際學生交流都會迅速恢復，學生數也會顯著地成長，所以我們有足夠理由保持樂觀！

The United States remains the top study destination for international students!
We have almost reached the end of 2020, and it’s time to reflect on what’s in the 2019/2020 academic year for international student mobility. For the fifth year in a row, the United States hosted over one million international students during the 2019–2020 academic year. It holds 20% of the total exchange of international students in the world, far more than the rest destinations. Among these students studying at U.S. universities and colleges, more than half majored in STEM fields. Additionally, this year also saw a 2.2% increase in fine and applied arts. Since the Institute of International Education (IIE) has been established 101 years ago, COVID-19 is the world’s 12th pandemic. History shows that after each pandemic, international education exchange rapidly resumes, and the number of students involved also grows substantially. There are many reasons to stay optimistic!
