Happy 7 months old, dear baby Ansel! ❤
Today, you turn seven months old and you flashed your wide, toothless grin at me, like how you do umpteen times every day, when I took a photo of you.
It's been a month of gastronomic adventure and discovery with you in the past month. Let's see, your favourite food for now includes avocado, banana, pear and pumpkin but you've also tried potato, carrot, blueberries, apple, fish, chicken, sweet potato, brown rice, cereal and more! That's not bad for your introductory month of having solids, right? Although it makes me more exhausted having to cook your meals separately from ours daily, that bright smile of yours makes it all worthwhile.
You are also getting good at sitting down on your own though you tend to lose balance and fall over after some time. Haha. Like the previous months, you have been drooling and munching on your fingers incessantly but you have yet to cut your first tooth, so let's just wait patiently for now yeah.
Your sisters say you are very chubby and I think so too, you might just be the chubbiest one of the lot. It is a heartening thing to know because, like me, you are a preemie but I am relieved to see that you are gaining weight steadily. We love seeing your baby rolls and oh, you are easily tickled and will laugh and laugh when it happens.
We went for your vaccinations earlier this month and you were totally a trooper - your cries lasted merely 1 or 2 seconds despite having a jab on each thigh. That said, I think it's because I was there to comfort you and for now, judging by how you reach out for me or whine whenever I walk away, there is no doubt that you love me deep deep.
But you know what? That is not even a fraction of how much I love you. I can't even describe it but you are my world, or rather, our world because your siblings love you to the moon and back too.
Thank you for being a ray of sunshine in our lives and cheering us up every single day - something which we truly need during these gloomy times. Looking forward to more happy days stuck with you 24/7, my darling boy! ❤

I grew up having simple food on the table but never hungry.
I recall mum heading to the Asian market and whilst the Ang Mohs preferred meaty meats, she would take the bones and leftover “scraps” to buy (cheaper) and make broth.
There was a stream nearby that had an abundance of watercress and she would pick them to add on to the soup or fry them with garlic.
That’s why I’m a soup and steam sort of gal and was never exposed to the likes of steak, burgers and more flavourful dishes like curry and sambal which was a typical Asian dish.
Cupcakes and chocolates were treats to us, as snacks would be fruits like apples and strawberries which mom would bring home after “work”. As an apple picker, sometimes, the produce won’t “make” it into the Grade A section and workers were allowed to purchase them for cheap.
I grew up feeling the slight deprivation as I had a sweet tooth. Desserts were eaten slowly and mindfully and that is probably why I have an abundance of it at home, especially now with my Thermomix.
I am glad I have this weekly charity drive to focus on to help the vulnerable families hit by the looming pandemic. It makes me happy knowing I contributed something to such a great initiative by the team.

・H O M E C A F E ( ダーティーコーヒー )
●材料 (マグカップ350mlの場合)
・コーヒー100ml
(コーヒー飲めない方はココアでOK)
・牛乳150ml
・ミルクフォーム
【牛乳40ml,生クリーム60ml】
・ココアパウダー 少々
・チョコレート お好みで
●作り方のポイント
・ミルクフォームはやや硬め
※柔らかすぎるとこぼす時に全て溢れた状態になってしまうから

●Material (for 350ml mug)
·100ml coffee
(If you can't drink coffee, cocoa is OK)
·150ml of milk
·Milk foam
【40ml of milk, 60ml of fresh cream】
·A little cocoa powder
·Chocolate to your liking
● Points on how to make it
·Milk foam is slightly hard
*If it is too soft, everything will overflow when spilled.

I want to deliver delicious Japanese-food recipes to the world
【材料】
●冷凍えび：500g
●塩少々
●黒コショウ
●ターメリック：小さじ1/2
●カイエンペッパー：小さじ1/4
●片栗粉：大さじ2～3
●油
［絶品マヨソース］
●マヨネーズ：大さじ6
●ケチャップ：大さじ1
●ヨーグルト：大さじ2
●レモン汁：小さじ2
●コンデンスミルク：大さじ1(甘めが好きな方は多めで)
少量のスパイスをいれるだけで海老の臭みがとれるだけでなくマヨソースの味がより引き立って味に奥行きが出ます。
辛いとかではないのでお子さんも食べれますよ♪
冷凍エビでも高級中華店に負けない味になってます。
本当に簡単すぎるくらい簡単なので是非作ってみて下さい。
【Ingredients】
●Frozen shrimp：500g
●Salt: proper amount
●Black pepper:
●Turmeric：½ teaspoon
●Cayyenne pepper：¼ teaspoon
●Potato starch：2～3 tablespoons
●Oil
［Special delicious mayonnaise］
●Mayonnaise：6 tablespoons
●Ketchup：1 tablespoon
●Yorgurt：2 tablespoons
●Lemmon Juice：2 teaspoons
●Condensed milk：1 tablespoon (If you have a sweet tooth, please add more.)
The hint of spice gets rid of fishy shrimp smell as well as brings mayonnaise flavor out.
It is not spicy, so Children also will enjoy it.
The taste doesn’t yield to fancy Chinese restaurants despite using frozen shrimp.
The recipe is super easy, so please try to cook this.
