Coming from a mixed background, we never fail to educate our children of their ‘lots of mix’ bloodline. We want them to be proud of their roots even though all 3 of our children were born and bred in the UK.

Fatimah #thelittlemissdiva has always been proud of her Kelantanese heritage. She loves Kelantanese dialect so much and she is also well known of her expertise in combining English and Kelantanese words. Remember when she came up with the word #GAPOEVER that went viral earlier on this year? 😊

Well, not only the dialect but she loves everything about Kelantan even though she has never been back to Malaysia. She loves Kuih Kelantan too! One of her favourite is Buah Tanjung. Luckily whenever Dadajee and Dadijee came to visit, they always bring all sorts of treats for the kids. And they never fail to bring along some Kuih (dessert) from Kelantan. 💛

However, we always have to save some and put them in the freezer coz whenever the kids are missing their grandparents, they will ask for 1001 things their grandparents bring and we can cure their cravings! But yesterday, Fatimah was feeling a bit down counting the days until Dadajee and Dadijee leave...she asked if she could have some Buah Tanjung. So we let her have some to turn her frown upside down!🙃

While she was eating, Dadijee sat with her and we could see that Dadijee too is feeling a bit sad that her stay is coming to an end. Hopefully, the goodbyes will be easier this time around...😢
