Color is really important in my paintings. Pink and colorful hues represent cuteness and make the works inviting for the viewer to discover the darker underlayers of meaning in my works. This series "Can Pop Conquer Despair?" plays with different colors on the same image. These paintings are inspired by mass production/consumption of pop art. The colors are cute but the canvas shows words like “I wanna die” when the lights are turned off. 👻
