When I was young, my mum would take half days off work to bring me to the park where I would run and play. When I was a teen, she'd lie in bed with me to listen to my worries or long rambles before a race. Even now, at 25, my mum worries for me. When she found out I was flying to Sydney alone, she offered to take leave and fly over to join me. Whether it's my athletic journey towards this years SEA Games, anothers in the Paralympics or the Special Olympics, we all need that love and support to help us realise our full potential.
This year marks the 9th edition of the Special Olympics Singapore National Games and I want to wish everyone participating the best of luck! A huge hug to all the mums who can sometimes be more nervous than their child(ren) as they perform on the big stage. Thank you for all your hard work and sacrifice and simply being there.
In support of Special Olympics Singapore, P&G and NTUC FairPrice will be having a store wide campaign from 1st April to 15th May, where a portion of the sales generated during this period will be donated to Special Olympics Singapore! #ChampionsbehindChampions #specialolympics #oneteamsg

A kiss for the most important woman in my life. This is a post about my mother but because she doesn't like to take photos, the photos we have are family pictures that we only take during special occasions like birthdays & lunar new year.
.
My mother is an inspiration on how much a person can put herself secondary because of family. My mom's mother passed on when my mom was only in her 20s. The family wasn't well to do. Determined to have a good job, Mom did well in school and got a job that would allow her to climb the corporate ladder. But that also meant she would have long working hours & trade off time from the family.

I was young. My Mom made the decision to transfer to another department so that she could send me to school first in the afternoon. Even after I was a little older, she chose a 9-6pm, 5-day role so she could help Zonia & me with homework after our dinner. On Saturday mornings where Dad had to work, she would take me for breakfast & we would get on a bus at Bedok to YMCA for my English classes. Everything revolved around her children, her family. Thank you, Mommy, for taking such good care of us, putting us as your priority in life.

Every Mom is great & gives their all for their children in their own special way. Share your support for our Special Olympics athletes & their moms at this year’s games. From 1 April to 15 May, P&G & NTUC FairPrice will be donating portion of your storewide spending to Special Olympics to honour our athletes and moms! #ChampionsbehindChampions
