I spent the first 14 years of my life here. I lived on the 17th floor, in a public housing estate in HK called Ping Shek. Buildings look like tombstones, a few steps up from a slum, everyday there was traffic noise, dust, bad odor in the air, noise, more noise... you name it. 28 floors, 32 units on one floor, 7 people living in a 300 square feet apartment, it was the norm. Still can’t believe I grew up there and made it through. Who could have guessed music could bring a nobody like me to somewhere I could never imagine back then.

Took this picture when I did an interview few years ago showing my humble background. Grateful for the tough training after all.

Now, my 20th solo album Back to One. 思源. Nothing glorious, just very honest and factual.
