【MOTO AID 2012】いよいよ明日開催です！
河口湖ステラシアター（山梨県）で開催される東日本大震災チャリティイベント『MOTO AID 2012』が、いよいよ明日開催されます。
バイク王 バイクライフ研究所は、ブースにて、『カワサキZ1』『ヤマハRZ』『陸王』を始めとする旧車バイクを展示するほか、隣接会場で行われる試乗会にも参加します。
研究所からは、
・スズキ GSX1100Sカタナ
・ホンダ NSR250R
・カワサキ GPZ900R
以上、3台のバイクを試乗車として準備する予定です。

シャリィは家族みんなで楽しめるファミリーバイクを目指し、1972年デビュー。 オーナーは主に主婦層が多かったが、ヤンキーと呼ばれる若者層にも人気が有った。同じホンダのスーパーカブ、モンキー同様改造パーツが豊富で生産終了した現在でもファンが多い。山梨県では特異的に高いシェアをほこり、シャリィで野良仕事へ向かう中年女性がよく見られた。
車名の由来
エイプ (Ape) とは、英語で類人猿の意。「あらゆる人に最も近い動物として、気軽に乗れる身近なオートバイ」をイメージしている。これはそれまでに発売されたホンダ・モンキー、ホンダ・ゴリラよりも「進化したもの」と言う意味で名づけられた。
