2019年6月16日，香港經歷有史以來最大規模的示威遊行活動。多達200萬人參與遊行，抗議政府修訂《逃犯條例》草案。

除撤回修訂逃犯條例外，不少民眾要求行政長官林鄭月娥​下台。身穿黑衣的示威人潮迫滿街頭，令港島一帶馬路宛如「黑海」。亦有不少人手持白花，紀念日前在太古廣場墜樓的「梁烈士」。

示威者手持不同的標語表達訴求，當中包括「學生沒有暴動」、「釋放被捕人士」、「追究警暴」等等。當首批遊行人士抵達金鐘添馬公園終點的時候，仍有不少遊行人士在維多利亞公園等待出發。

儘管香港在當年暑假發生了一連串的事件，特首林鄭月娥要到9月初才正式撤回備受爭議的《逃犯條例》修訂草案。

On 16 June 2019, Hong Kong experienced its largest protest in history. As many as 2 million people demonstrated against the extradition bill.

Many called for Chief Executive Carrie Lam to step down. Protesters filled streets and turned roads into a sea of black. Many also mourned “martyr” Leung, who fell to his death the day before.

Demands reflected in placards included "Students are not rioters", "Release detained protesters" and "Investigate police brutality". When the first group of marchers arrived at Tamar Park in Admiralty, there were still protesters waiting to leave Victoria Park.

Despite the infamous incidents throughout the summer, Carrie Lam did not declare full withdrawal of the bill until early September.

//去年 11 月中文大學爆發攻防戰，學生示威者與警方在中大校園內「二號橋」附近激烈衝突，警方分別在 11 日及 12 日於校園內拘捕多人。事隔近半年， 4 名 12 日被捕的學生被控暴動、違反禁蒙面法等罪名，其中 1 人因持有一枝鐳射筆，另被控管有攻擊性武器。4 人均獲准保釋，案件將在 5 月 29 日下午再提訊，屆時控方將提出申請將案件轉至區域法院審訊。

由於庭內旁聽位置有限，逾 200 名市民未能進入庭內旁聽，他們只能在法院門外聲援，當中不少人為中大學生。有人舉起印有中大校徽，寫上「暴大」、「學生沒有暴動 只有殺人暴政」的標語。由於限聚令仍然生效，部份聲援人士分開站立，衝鋒隊警員在附近戒備。//

在台中工作了幾天，第一次是以這一種心情離開香港的，每次連到wifi就忍不住先看看金鐘的情況、政府的發言、各方的表態… 第一次真的牽掛著這個自己成長的地方。

不過最深印象的是，是每一個遇到的台灣朋友（或新認識的朋友）都會問我：「你有去抗爭嗎？」😂

然後我就會和他們解釋甚麼是逃犯引導條例、甚麼是定性暴動、香港在發生甚麼事、警察是怎樣對市民的…

雖然結論總會是：「那我們一定不可以投給韓國瑜了」

但真的，台灣人對香港的關注，比好些香港人還多。

趁還有得發聲的時候，好好保護自己珍愛的地方吧！
