In this video tutorial I am showing you, how to DIY upgrade or replace the original Rode Videomic Pro shock mount with a Rycote Lyre mount. The reason to do this is that original mounts rubber bands often get loose and also weakens over time and entirely replacing the Rode Videomic Pro with the new Rode Videomic Pro with the lyre mount cost $199, while this upgrade would only cost you only $65 and its stronger and better, plus you can pan you microphone to aim the mic better.
