We've heard so much about the "middle child syndrome" 🥲 As much as i don't wanna think it's legit but on 3 yro Amelia, i see that. I see she tend to try to want people's love more, or she tend to try to get involved even when the conversation has absolutely nothing to do with what she's trying to contribute 😂 Like we can be talking about a piece of news where somebody gets murdered, Amelia will join in and say "YOU KNOW, MY FRIEND LAST TIME ALSO GET KILLED BY BAD PEOPLE" 🥲 Not sure where my three year old used to 玩哪里 but sure sound like she and her friends 在江湖上混过 🥲😂

Or we can be talking about planning a day out (in Singapore, of course) then le wild Amelia will enter convo with, "You remember? We went to Australia before and we see the kangaroos and one kangaroo the tail even hit jiejie"

Her eagerness to be partof can be stretched across borders 😂

If asked, i'd always claim i love my kids the same but i think at different stages of the kids' development and age, i'm sure parents will have a favourite. And right now, with jiejie maturing into a 18 yro old mentality with a punch of sass, and didi still a baby with voice of a parade commander and strength of a bull, i must confess, my favourite is sweet but a psycho, Mental Melia 😂

People rarely see the funny side of her but she's actually really really wacky and funny 😂 Get to spend two days with her as she has coarse voice and she self-declare she cannot go to school. Even the doctor say she has nothing 🥲 LOL no meds needed no throat inflammation no nothing. I guess she play and screamed too much but all's good cox it's our rare few times out where she can have full attention of the adults 😅

First day she followed me to work with ganma. Second day i brought her to wash hair cox she saw on Youtube and said she wanna try 😅 It's a bit boh hua becox she has so little hair 🥲 LOL but she love the experience so much so it's $14 well-spent LOL 😂

Then we go have "tomato pasta" which is basically her go-to - Pasta/ White rice/ Fishball noodle soup / Ballball sushi ❤️ I may not have time to document her growth as much as i did with jiejie.. But..

At least it will always be more than didi's LOLOL #qiupill

Kelmarin ada budak kena scam pasal menang scholarship NASA. Dia dah happy announce, PM dan menteri pun pakat wish tahniah rupanya news scholarship tu scam. Aduhai.

Apart from scam tu, sebenarnya budak Malaysia memang ramai je cerdik pandai in fact genius.

Aku ada sorang kawan yang boleh masuk kategori top 1% orang cerdik di Malaysia ni, paling tidak pun top 1% untuk kategori umur sebaya aku lah.

Namanya Suhaimi Ramly.

Orang panggil Bal.

Aku mula kenal dia ni dalam tahun 2002-2003 dulu, masa tu dia study di Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston USA.

Aku kenal sebab dia menulis blog powerr nak mampus.

Blog pula tak ada template, plain white macam tu je. Bukan pakai domain blogspot, wordpress, dia pakai domain MIT.

Bal.mit seingat aku dulu ni linknya.

Di MIT dia amik jurusan Mathematics. Minor in Writing. Sebab tu dia terer menulis. Matematik dan penulisan - kombinasi yang contradict tapi Bal ni buat menjadi.

Belajar MIT ambil major Math ni berapa orang je rakyat Malaysia pernah buat. Sekarang mungkin setiap tahun few rakyat Malaysia ada admission ke MIT.
20-30 tahun lepas setahun sorang pun belum tentu.

Bal ni juga rakyat Malaysia pertama yang dapat bronze medal International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) tahun 1998/99 dulu.

Bukan biasa biasa lah menang bronze zaman dulu.

Lepas habis belajar di MIT dia balik Malaysia kerja dengan Khazanah Nasional. Jadi Associate.

Haa masa ni lah kitorang start selalu lepak.

Aku di KLCC Tower 1, dia di Tower 2.

Boleh kata setiap minggu 1-2 kali mesti lunch sekali. Port Kampung Baru atau Wisma Sentral.

Dia pernah cerita buku buku dia di US tak boleh nak bawa balik sebab terlalu banyak, tak ada space. Masa di MIT ramai juga penyelidik Matematik di Malaysia (Phd holders, pensyarah) minta dia assist cari bahan rujukan.

Kalau lepak dengan dia memang aku kasi dia je bercakap. Apa dia cakap semua benda fact, trivia, info info sedap, dan paling aku suka bila dia borak hal filem.

Dia pernah cakap, filem sekarang (pertengahan dekad 2000) entah bila la dia boleh tengok sebab filem filem lama masih banyak dalam list yang dia nak kena habiskan. Yang list tu pun ambil masa entah berapa tahun nak kasi habis.

Ohh ingat tadi aku cerita pasal Olympiad Math?

Bal ni masa umur 26 IMO lantik dia jadi juri Olympiad peringkat dunia. Ni menjadikan dia sebagai juri pertandingan Olympiad termuda di dunia.

Real gila.

Dia juga jadi ketua jurulatih dan ketua kotinjen Malaysia untuk pertandingan Olympiad antarabangsa. Lama dia bawa team Malaysia dalam 7-8 tahun macam tu.

Tadi aku ada cakap nak masuk MIT tu macam mana punya seksa kan?

Bal ni sejak dia balik Malaysia siapa siapa nak masuk MIT dia akan interview dulu. Dia panel penilai untuk Malaysia. Kalau dia puas hati dengan kepandaian dan kepoweran kau, dia akan tulis surat rekomendasi ke MIT untuk terima kau.

Ok kau orang yang ada anak anak sekolah rendah mesti pernah dengar Kangaroo Math kan?

So siapa punya kerja mulakan Kangaroo Math di Malaysia ni?

Bal ni lah.

Tahun lepas je penyertaan murid murid untuk Kangaroo Math seluruh Malaysia dah cecah 50,000 orang!

Berbalik pada kerja di Khazanah tadi,
Bal kerja sana tak lama. Dia resign dan set up educational based company.

Kalau korang pernah dengar nama company Aidan. Tu company dia.

Lama dah Aidan ni, macam macam benda depa buat especially dalam nak membangunkan minat Matematik untuk pelajar pelajar sekolah rendah dan menengah.

Paling baru, dia co found Pandai dot org.

Apps ni steady. Anak aku hari hari jawab soalan di apps ni. Kalau korang belum ada better install cepat.

Ni orang cerdik nak ke level genius. Aku rasa level Bal ni genius dah.

Banyak jasa dia bangunkan dunia akedemik di Malaysia, especially Matematik lah.

Dengan kepandaian dan kebolehan dia ni, kalau dia stay di US lagi macam macam dia boleh buat - tapi dia pilih nak balik ke Malaysia,

Berbakti kepada ibu pertiwi dan anak bangsa.

Bal mungkin top 1% rakyat Malaysia yang pandai.

Tapi dengan spirit dia struggle menyumbang tenaga di tanah air sendiri,

Maka ini menjadikan dia special top 0.1% dari sejumlah orang orang pandai yang Malaysia pernah lahirkan.

Ini baru betul betul orang cerdik pandai.

Dia tak ada fesbuk, kau tak payah cari.
