This summer at the end of July (7/30~8/1), I’ll be doing an exciting program with master bow maker Mr. Yung Chin at the Soochow University 東吳大學 in Taiwan. The program will cover vast information on the history of bow making and its transformation, of course how the violin playing changing throughout the time from Bach, Tartini to Paganini and beyond which is the main driving force that change the way how the bow is made today.
During the program, I’ll give a demonstration performance on these different styles of bows and compare to the modern bow. It should be a very interesting experience not only for myself, but also for the audience as well. Therefore. I sincerely recommend this event, to any music lover who might be in Taiwan during end of July this summer and come join us for a great journey of the history of bow making！
