If you guys have been following my instagram stories, you would probably have known that I have fallen sick/unwell/lowkey dying over the past week.
However, I too, don't know what has made me sick and uncomfortable after so long. I took a blood test two days ago to find out what the cause is, but I'm suspecting either anaemia or thyroid dysfunction because both of these diseases are hereditary to me - meaning both my parents have them and they can be passed down through blood. I think it’s these two because some of its symptoms include fatigue, anxiety and depression which are caused by hormonal changes.
Lemme tell you, my hormones have been crazy, I get breakouts randomly, my skin goes from super oily to super dry suddenly and my period schedule is super unstable. I have been feeling very sluggish, tired, moody and have been having bad headaches. Everyday is just tiring and I don't feel anything else other than fatigue. My neck and back are aching, my muscles are weak and my joints are stiff. I've been sleeping well recently as well, like 8-10 hours per night and bedtime around 2AM which is 3 hours earlier than my usual 5AM schedule (for real). BUT HAHH, all these efforts but I still feel like a piece of shit.
Some of my friends tell me its burnout that I'm facing, but really, I don't know. I've always been grinding at work for, like, forever. I haven't stopped hustling for all the things I'm involved in. Perhaps I'm not the best at taking care of myself. But anyway, this has never happened to me before. So, I don't know what it is. Guess we'll just have to wait for my blood test to see what it is, but if my blood test comes back telling me I'm fine, then perhaps my mental health is just broken at this point it's taking over me (but I hope not) hahah
I'll be taking a short break from streaming until I feel better, be it a few days or a week. I'll try my best to maintain my streaming schedule, but if I can't, at least you guys know why :')
p.s. btw its not covid-19 cuz my lungs and breathing is fine and i dont have feverrrr so you can still give me a hug

Still not sure what to do with your arms and shoulders when in Down dog? Take a few minutes to read this very useful post.
One person's medicine is another person's poison. This is often the case with instructions in Yoga class. A good example is downward facing dog, or any posture where the arms are raised overhead - like in backbends such as Urdhva Dhanurasana.
For most people the instruction to "spread" or protract the shoulder blades and externally rotate the arms, like I'm doing in the image on the left, works well. There is another movement - upward rotation of the scapula which should also happen, but should happen automatically as long as you are not trying to "pull" the shoulders down.
As is often the case, if you want to increase the flexibility of your shoulders and improve your backbends and other postures like handstands then you need to take the arms beyond 180% - which is what I'm doing in the right, and when that happens the shoulders start to internally rotate and the shoulder blades come toward each other, meaning they are no longer protracted.
But it's complicated, because if a hyper mobile person does this they might become unstable in their shoulder joint. Or at the opposite extreme, most people with "stiff" shoulders automatically have their shoulders up around their ears - but without reaching the 180% range.
So, it's hard to give one instruction for everyone, but in general, the first thing to learn is to externally rotate the shoulders and protract the shoulder blades, but to increase your range of motion then the movement changes. But like I said, medicine for one can be poison for another.

World's best motorcycle pants are RHOK (search Ebay for them) A guy hired me to take him out for the day. Early into the ride he went down hard. I kept looking back to see if he was keeping up alright....and he was. So I didn't slow down. His accident is a combination of over confidence and you'll notice he turns his head before he crashes....look through the turn...etc..etc. I'll upload a video soon where I talk more about it. I didn't allow comments on this video when I first uploaded it because I know how crash vids on youtube work. You get a bunch of losers who have never ridden before insulting the rider. Heck....if someone uploaded a video of Valentino Rossi crashing while on the street (without people realizing it's him)......you'd have hundreds of comments like "Fucking noob shouldn't even own a bike....learn how to ride!" . LOL
You can tell that his line is a bit unstable from the start. He seems to adjust his line multiple times through each bend. He should have realized that he wasn't taking the corners smoothly and backed off. I didn't realize this as I couldn't watch him long enough to see while being in front.
Partially because of this day I focused more on safety for my June Tour and it seemed to help. We didn't have a single crash for my June 2012 tour.
Another thing to note is that right before the corner that he crashes on I slow down a bit.....but he doesn't seem to......the gap between us becomes shorter right before the crash. Meaning he took that specific corner at a higher rate of speed than myself.
He broke his leg in a few places. He was amazingly optimistic and never seemed bothered or even complained about the incident. His biggest mistake was over confidence which isn't such a bad thing......and his attitude was the best about the accident. I have a lot of respect for him.
