Our trip down to Ellenborough Market Cafe in Swissotel Merchant Court was a gastronomical seafood spread with their Signature Fresh Seafood Bucket 🪣 , Peranakan style, Western, Asian, Juicy game meat, Seafood platter, and Various Durian Themed & traditional desserts 🍰🍨!
OUR huge table almost couldn’t fit everything! 🤣🤣
No need to worry if you have kids if you need to split tables as every dishes are served via an order form and services are prompt and quick!
The kids were treated as their VVVIP, as we were told that if there’s any request for more kids friendly dishes just let them know! Which we did - especially for the kueh pieti, we asked for the crust only and were promptly served a bowlful of it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Chewy and crispy with almost-black patches on the crust from the mangrove wood fire, I could eat just the crust. I still can't decide if I like the spicy shrimp or portobello mushroom better so if you're planning to go -- bring your appetite and get them both!

Failure doesn't mean the game is over. Last week, I over-baked my Hot Cross Buns forming a hard layer of crust surrounding them. My 3 hours of hard work had gone to waste.
The grief was real... 😢
The next morning, the buns turned out softer and I had this idea of turning them into Bread Pudding with whatever I have in my fridge.
I mixed eggs with milk tea, topped them with butter and chocolate chips, then popped them in the air fryer. They came out nice and soft, soaked in all the goodness of milk tea!
