This month has been crazy hectic. I knew having a newborn would be tough but I never imagined it to be this tough. Thank goodness for my amazing wife. She’s been taking care of Lil Bacon (aka breastfeeding nonstop). I try to help out as much as possible, but it still feels like we never have enough time to finish anything. I even forget to eat and sleep, so whenever I get a chance to nap, I always take it. Even if it’s only for 5 minutes with my baby girl. The final video in our pregnancy series is finally up. Check out the new vlog on the channel!

我家四宝。All mine to love and to hold. At least, until they are all grown up. ❤

No one ever said parenting is easy. I knew right from the start that this year would be a challenging one - PSLE for the eldest, having to care for a newborn, handling a clingy boy who is newly promoted to Korkor, dealing w a soon-to-be tween, all while having to solo parent most of the time in the midst of a pandemic.

Yup, some friends called me brave to have a fourth kid at this stage, some said I must be mad, or maybe it's just a combination of the two. 其实，这应该算是我的福气才对。❤ Many told me to get help of some form to make my hectic life easier, then I told them I do have help - from the hubby on weekends and my older kids on weekdays.

Nope, it's not like the kids are always wonderfully behaved nor do they always take the initiative, but they have all stepped up to help out in the house and with the baby - I'd like to think I trained them well over the years - and before we know it, we're just three months away from the end of the year. For that, I'm truly grateful.

It's my 12th year as a stay-at-home mum yet I feel like I still have so much to learn and to improve on. On some days, I sound like a broken record, my fuse is shorter and my patience is cut down. I can blame it on stress, on cabin fever or many other things but like I said in my "Happiness is..." blog post, it's okay to not be okay at times. "We might have lost the battle today but we live to fight another day and tomorrow, we're gonna be victorious."

Mums are humans after all. So am I and so are you. And we are gonna be all right because we are not alone in this journey.

Happy Hump Day, everyone. I call this post 有感而发 and it's not because I had a tough day (most of our days are normal with a mix of both good and bad parts) but because I just wanted to pen my random thoughts. 3 more weeks till the end of PSLE, to all parents who are in the same boat, let's jia you and 向前迈进 together! ❤

He's my baby and my boss!

Yup, judging by how he wails and wakes me several times in the middle of the night, how he demands to be carried, how he protests when I go out of sight, how I need to prepare his every meal, clean him up and bathe him, how he sits back and relaxes while I push or carry him when we are out, there's no doubt that my life revolves around this little boy for now.

Thankfully, he is such a sweetie pie - who can resist that smile? - who makes it all worthwhile. His siblings say the same too because he also makes them tired, haha. Well, we can't wait to catch Boss Baby 2 and other movies in the cinemas soon! Thanks to United International Pictures Singapore for making us so excited and for sending over the goodies, including this yummylicious chocolate cake from @sweehengsg and our first twinning tees too.

The 5yo is also waiting for me to bring him to watch his favourite Paw Patrol movie and I hope to find a weekday to bring him when it's not crowded. We'll keep our masks on at all times and I will tell them to eat before or after the show only.

Hopefully, things will settle in the next few weeks so that we can celebrate the end of exams for the elder ones by watching more movies! Woohoo!

P.S. Can't wait to be able to visit the vaxxed halls soon too! Yup, I'm partially vaxxed for now, was waiting till the baby started on solids before taking my first dose. Some of you asked if I would be taking it and I said yes, and I continued to latch the baby right after too. Stay safe and take care, everyone!

Our stay at Ying Lun postpartum center
我們在英倫產後護理之家的日子

For my second child, I choose to stay at Ying Lun Postpartum Care. I was blown away by the amazing service and amenities there! For my second child, I thought that I would be pretty set in terms of knowing how to take care of the newborn baby, but I was pleasantly surprised that I really learned a lot during my stay at Ying Lun. While the services are mainly for mother and the newborn, when my eldest arrived to the postpartum center to visit with a scar on her forehead the nurses immediately came to help check and redress her wound. It was so sweet!
我的第二胎，我選擇留在 英倫產後護理之家 。我被他們的服務和設施驚艷到！我認為我會在如何照顧新生兒方面做得很好，因爲這是我的第二胎，但是我很高興我在這裡學到了很多東西。雖然主要為媽媽們和新生兒提供服務，但是當我的大女兒來這探望我時，額頭上有小傷口，護士立即來幫助我們檢查傷口，真是太窩心了！
My favorites things about Ying Lun were:
關於英倫，我最喜歡的東西是：
1. The food! I didn't get sick of the meals there, and they were so delicious I pretty much finished all of them. As a breastfeeding mom, I finished the breakfast, lunch, dinner, and three snacks they provided.
1.食物！那裡的餐點令我百吃不厭，而且非常美味，每一道我都吃得精光。作為一個正在餵母乳的媽媽，我每天都吃完了早餐，午餐，晚餐和三種小點心。
2. The nurses! The nurses at Ying Lun were extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and generally concerned for your well-being. I could tell they really went out of their way to take care of the babies and even talk to them show them love in the nursery.
2.英倫的護士們非常有智慧，也樂於助人，並且關心所有人的健康。他們真的竭盡所能照顧嬰兒，愛護他們。
3. The amenities! I loved the luxurious decor, the comfy slippers they provided, the playroom for my eldest daughter, the photo studio @A Plus 專業攝影 , the spa package, the gym and even the coffee in the lobby. It was delicious!
3.設施非常的豪華！裝飾也很漂亮，我超喜歡他們提供的舒適拖鞋，大女兒常常流連忘返的遊戲室，A Plus 專業攝影 ，Spa，健身房，甚至是大廳提供的咖啡都很美味！
