from flights being cancelled yesterday due to the super typhoon, then rebooked to a day after, and getting cancelled again, and then realizing our tickets were somehow still valid but would only have 24 hours in Taipei before our return flight back to Hong Kong - to then arriving to Taipei and finding out our return flight got cancelled😭 by far one of the most stressful work trips ever BUT we will make the most of our time here! now ready for some yummy taiwanese local foodies🤪

I would say Autumn is the best time to visit Hong Kong (and go hiking!). It is usually sunny but not too hot and humid (Summer in Hong Kong is super hot and humid!). Visit the High Island Reservoir to learn the geological history of Hong Kong. In here, you can find a large number of orderly-arranged rare hexagonal volcanic rock columns. These rocks are formed 140 millions years ago after the volcano eruption in Sai Kung area. Due to earth movement, some hexagonal columns twisted and formed the S-shaped columns. I was amazed by all these rock formations. Remember NOT to step on these columns as they are weathered! There are still fallen trees around Hong Kong after typhoon Mangkhut, beware of fallen trees during the hike and enjoy!

Take Bus No. 94 or Minibus No. 7 from Sai Kung Public Pier to Pak Tam Chung and then walk to High land Reservoir (2.5 hours)
