The beautiful town of Martigues in Southern France is known for its canals that meander through its streets, linking the nearby lake, Étang de Berre, with the sea. Martigues began as a Roman encampment but the present-day town was founded in the 12th century by a local Provençal count and is now primarily a fishing port.

In partnership with Guerlain and UNESCO, the French Observatory of Apidology (OFA) welcomed this year's group of trainees to the hills of Sainte-Baume, Southern France, on June 21 2021. As new entrepreneurs, this year's debut graduating class will become members of a worldwide community of women beekeepers, who along with their stocks of bees will strengthen local biodiversity and pass on their own knowledge, helping to make the world a more beautiful place.
Boasting an exciting new skill set and sustainable drive, each member of this groundbreaking group of female beekeepers will leave with 50 hives to begin their own beekeeping operation in their chosen region. The bee repopulation process will respect species endemic to each region concerned. To preserve local biodiversity, no species will be imported.

This is the time of the year where the flowers bloom, and in southern France, there's a lavender creme brulee dessert, so I learned from this and added lavender flavor to the fresh cream.
The lavender is somewhat bitter and has a unique smell, so it might not be suitable for children.
You don’t have to use lavender, just replace it with 15 ml of lemon juice instead, and it will add a reasonable acidity taste to the cheesecake. The smell of lemon and vanilla goes very well together.
