Luk Chau Stone Forest is located at Luk Chau Shan, Shatin. It is not a normal hiking trail. You will need to hike and climb over about 200m of large volcanic boulders. You may get lost easily in the forest, which we did, as there are no signs to direct you. Nevertheless, there are merits with getting lost. 🙂
Beginners, 🐕 and Children younger than 7 years old should not do this hike.
These volcanic rocks are very coarse and will definitely cut one badly in a fall. However thy provide good drip and come in interesting shapes. My sons had fun naming a few which look like crocodile’s 🐊 mandible (鱷魚張口), 🦈 shark’s fin （鯊魚翅）, sword 🗡（劍), and monster head （怪獸頭）.
