1996年的美國告示牌單曲年終排行，當然的第一名就是家喻戶曉，大街小巷傳唱的《Macarena》。
這首河流二重唱的西班牙語舞曲是Billboard史上第七名的單曲，當年在台灣不但人人會唱會跳，簡單律動易上手的舞蹈也受到各大健康操與國小校園青睞，成為全民運動。

Alanis Morissette驚天一筆的首張專輯《Jagged Little Pill》也在這一年的榜上，十週冠軍的理所當然告示牌年度專輯同時讓她成為史上最年輕的葛萊美年度最佳專輯得主。
這一年在榜上的有《Ironic》與《You Learn" / "You Oughta Know》兩張單曲，強烈的憤怒女聲影響深遠，印象中當時有不少台灣女歌手在受訪時都會提到受Alanis Morissette啟發。

不過，這一年最可怕的專輯還是非《Waiting To Exhale》莫屬，這張《等待夢醒時分》的電影原聲帶，在1996年總共有五首歌進入年終前五十名，分別是：
No. 9：Toni Braxton的《Let It Flow》
No. 14：Whitney Houston的《Exhale - Shoop Shoop》
No. 16：Brandy的《Sittin' Up In My Room》
No. 32：Mary J. Blige的《Not Gon' Cry》
No. 48：Whitney Houston與CeCe Winans的《Count On Me》
這張Baby Face製作的專輯，除了以上幾首歌之外，還有Aretha Franklin、TLC、SWV、Patti LaBelle等人獻唱，無庸置疑的全明星陣容，締造輝煌成績。
但令人感到有些悲傷的是，《Exhale - Shoop Shoop》雖然成為史上第三首空降告示牌單曲榜冠軍歌曲，卻也是Whitney Houston生前最後一首告示牌冠軍單曲（淚）。

#失譯症 #不止一次的心碎

再過兩天，已逝模特兒、饒舌歌手 Lil Peep在生前留下的作品將集結成《Come Over When You’re Sober Pt. 2. 》問世，今天釋出收錄在其中的歌曲“Life is Beautiful”，這首作品由先前已經發行過的歌曲”Life”重新混音而成。這首歌的歌詞提到了對於人生的無奈和對於發生的事無能為力的沮喪，而Peep在歌曲裡由”Isn’t life beautiful?”唱到”Isn’t life horrible?”，深刻展現了他誠實而悲傷的一面。

Lil Peep的母親Liza則寫道：「Gus在2015年初時寫下這首歌曲，他在我們長灘的家和朋友留下了一些影像，他喜歡在地下室、車庫進行拍攝；他喜歡在有氛圍感的場地做這些事，在這部影片裡他戴上了他很喜歡的近視眼鏡，這也是他配過的唯一一副。」
