This was taken at 11pm last night when we were feeling energetic and happy from the day's happenings.

To be honest, we had a terrible Friday, one that left me in agony, tears, guilt and lingering questions of how I can be a better mum. It was the motivation I needed and so I decided to be an overachiever for a day and took them out on a mum-and-kids adventure yesterday.

In the morning, we scooted out to a new place in our neighbourhood to explore the surroundings and ended up having a tasty breakfast which included scrambled eggs, corn cobs and crispy bolo buns. Then we went for a two-hour swim under the hot sun and were lucky to make it home just before it started to rain.

I was thinking if they needed to nap but when they decided against it, we went on a night adventure and took a one-hour train ride to Old Airport Food Centre. The stars were aligned as we managed to get a table within minutes and ended up having a $14 meal consisting of yummy bak chor mee, hokkien mee and sugarcane drinks. The kids said "很好吃! Very delicious!" and I hope they will always remember that the best things in life can be very simple.

We then made our way to Decathlon Singapore Lab where there was a queue to get in but thankfully we didn't give up. Yup, after having fun in the testing zones, including trying for a long time on the pull-up bars, we made our way home with this new baby and two yoga blocks. I've been wanting to teach the 4yo boy how to ride a two-wheel bike like how I taught the sisters previously. So there we were, on our one-hour journey home with our hearts full. The hubby told me to take a taxi but I refused to spend that $18 and hey, our train fares totalled to just $3 and it gave me a sense of accomplishment, you know.

It turned out we were all hungry when we got home so I fixed a couple of snacks for everyone to enjoy before we hit the sack past midnight. It's gonna be a beautiful Sunday too and the kids wanna go cycling and rollerblading! Gotta think positive to make positive things happen, yeah? Happy weekend, people!

P.S. Thankful for helpful kids and our handy 11yo Maclaren stroller, phew!

I miss traveling now although last year of today, I began a seriously crazy journey!

Throwback to last year May-June period. Seriously at one point of time, I felt so exhausted especially after the transit at Los Angeles.

10th May: ORD ✈️ IWD (Ironwood) - Race (Redbull 400m Copperpeak)
12th May: IWD ✈️ ORD (Chicago) - Back to Tim's place
13th May: ORD ✈️ JFK (New York) - Race (Empire State Building Run Up)
15th May: JFK ✈️ LAX (Los Angeles) - Transit for more than half a day and sightseeing here and there)
16th May: LAX ✈️ PVG (Shanghai) - Transit
17th May: PVG ✈️ KHN (Nanchang) - Drop my baggage here in the hotel provided
17th May: Nanchang 🚅 Wuhan - Race (Wuhan Way Up High Run Up)
18th May: Wuhan 🚅 Nanchang Race - (ITGP Nanchang)
19th May: Nanchang 🚅 Wuhan - Back to Wuhan to catch the flight back home!
20th May: WUH ✈️ KUL (Kuala Lumpur) - Home Finally!
*Suppose to go home after the Empire State Building Run Up, but there are two races pop up in China on 18th and 19th May, and since I haven't book my flight back home from US, I decided to take part in both races in China and plot my flight there.

23rd May: KUL ✈️ HKG (Hong Kong) - Sightseeing, take train and bus to Shenzhen
*Cheaper flight ticket compare with direct to Shenzhen flight.
24th May: Hong Kong 🚇🚍 Shenzhen - Race (Shenzhen PingAn Finance Centre IVM)
26th May: Shenzhen 🚍🚇 Hong Kong - Back to Hong Kong to catch the flight back home!
26th May: HKG ✈️ KUL (Kuala Lumpur)

30th May: KUL ✈️ PEK (Beijing) - Race (ITGP Beijing)
1st June: Beijing 🚅 Wuxi - Race (ITGP Wuxi)
2nd June: Wuxi ✈️ SIN (Singapore) - Transit

5th June: KUL ✈️ IST (Istanbul) - Transit for about half day, sightseeing around Istanbul
6th June: IST ✈️ MAD (Madrid)
6th June: Madrid 🚅 Almeria
6th June: Almeria 🚕 El Ejido - Race (Carrera Vertical El Ejido)
9th June: El Ejido 🚍 Almeria - Stay a night here and sightseeing
10th June: Almeria 🚅 Murcia - Stay a night here and sightseeing
11th June: Murcia 🚅 Alicante - Stay a night here and Sightseeing
12th June: Alicante 🚅 Benidorm - Race (Subida Vertical Gran Bali)
17th June: Benidorm 🚍🚇🚅 Madrid 🚕 MAD (A long complex journey here, made some mistake here!) Thanks to the taxi driver on driving fast from the Madrid train station to the Airport.
*Almost missed this flight! Last one to enter the flight, is like less than 20-30 minutes before departure time! Thanks to the crew at the counter on making a call to the crew at the gate and told the flight attendants that there's one guy left. The guy printed out an empty flight ticket and wrote my name, flight number, seat number and hand me that ticket. Also would like to thanks to all the people on allowing me to cut the que and went to the security check, immigration counter first. Then sprint to the gate and board on the plane!
17th June: MAD ✈️ IST (Istanbul) - Transit
18th June: IST ✈️ KUL (Kuala Lumpur) - Home!

*Once in a lifetime on doing this kind of crazy trip, rush here and there at some point of time as I made some mistake throughout the journey, but I gained a lots of experience.
*Hoping that the pandemic will come to an end and we will have races again!
*I will still stay in the sport and improve my performance to another level. There are more rooms for me to improve my performance as I have not reach my peak still.

Visited Changi Airport T3 today to meet the staff and workers, including taxi drivers, immigration officers and the medical staff. They are all working hard to keep our airport up and running during this challenging time.

The travel industry has been hit hard by COVID-19. Changi Airport is on the frontline. Despite this, I found our workers in good spirits. I left the airport heartened by their professionalism and commitment. Thank you for your hard work and dedication, keeping Singapore open for business!
