Where is Jesus Now?
“Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24 WEB)
The day is coming whereby Jesus’ prayer request in the verse above will be fulfilled.
We, the church (bride of the Lamb) will be received by our heavenly bridegroom into His Father’s house.
How amazing it will be to live where Jesus is, to see His glory in person.
Did you know that even the apostles who have since fallen asleep in death are not yet exactly where Jesus is?
“In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.” (John 14:2-3 WEB)
Jesus resides with Abba God in the sanctuary that is on the Mount Zion in the Heavenly Jerusalem. That is the location of God’s throne.
The Jerusalem on earth is actually a miniature mirror image of the Jerusalem above. Even the layout is the same—God made sure this was so.
None of the saints are there in the sanctuary yet. Those who are dead in Christ are in a part of Heaven called Paradise which is the garden of God.
“I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I don’t know, or whether out of the body, I don’t know; God knows), such a one caught up into the third heaven. I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I don’t know; God knows), how he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” (2 Corinthians 12:2-4 WEB)
In the original Greek, the word is Paradeison which means “a pleasure garden”. In Hebrew, the name is translated as “Gan Eden”, which is literally the Garden of Eden. Eden also means “pleasure”. Both the Greek and Hebrew agree that it is the Garden of Eden.
So that is where the Garden of Eden and the tree of life went! It was translated up to Heaven, protecting the tree of life from the world-destroying flood, and is now used as a waiting area for the saints.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.” (Revelation 2:7 WEB)
We see that this is true. The Holy Spirit testifies that the tree of life is now in the Paradise (Garden of Eden) in Heaven. The cherubim with fiery swords who guard the entrance to the garden do not stop the saints there from accessing the tree of life!
The dead in Christ are still waiting for the Rapture so that they can receive their glorified bodies and finally be where Jesus is.
If what I’m saying is not true, then Jesus would not have said to the apostles, “I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.”
We know that the apostles who heard these words spoken by Jesus have already fallen asleep in death.
This promise will be fulfilled at the Rapture. The Lord will come back, and in the air, He will receive us to Himself. The apostles and all the saints will receive glorified bodies, and we will finally be with Jesus!

You are gods and sons of the Most High
“I and the Father are one.” Therefore Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?” The Jews answered him, “We don’t stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy: because you, being a man, make yourself God.” Jesus answered them, “Isn’t it written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods?’ If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture can’t be broken), do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God?’ If I don’t do the works of my Father, don’t believe me. But if I do them, though you don’t believe me, believe the works; that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”” (John 10:30-38 WEB)
The Jews charged Jesus with the sin of blasphemy when He declared “I and the Father are one”, putting Himself on the same level as God.
Their argument was that a man cannot be God.
This is untrue because Jesus who is God, became a man. He is fully God and fully man.
Instead of trying to explain it that way, Jesus quoted Scripture:
“God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods. “How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?” Selah. “Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” They don’t know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken. I said, “You are gods, all of you are sons of the Most High. Nevertheless you shall die like men, and fall like one of the rulers.”” (Psalms 82:1-7 WEB)
In the psalm above, human judges are called “gods” and “sons of the Most High” because they have received authority from God to pass judgment upon His people.
However, God reminds them of their mortality by saying that they might have the office of a “god”, but they will still die like men, and fall just like any ruler in history, no matter how rich or powerful.
Jesus argued that if God called men “gods”, then why are the Jews accusing Him of blasphemy, if He is really a man who was authorized and appointed by God to judge mankind, on behalf of the Father.
“For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom he desires. For the Father judges no one, but he has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who doesn’t honor the Son doesn’t honor the Father who sent him.” (John 5:21-23 WEB)
In Christ, the Old Testament Scripture finds perfect fulfillment. Not only is Jesus a God-man, He is also the rightful Son of the Most High.
Jesus paved the way for us who believe in Him, for us to be born again in His image, as gods and sons of the Most High.
“And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” (Galatians 4:6-7 WEB)
God designed that every creature produces offspring after its own kind. A lion’s seed produces a lion cub. A sheep’s seed produces a lamb. If receiving and believing God’s seed (His word) caused you to be born again, then you are born as a god. You are a son of God, and an heir of His kingdom.
To the natural mind, this sounds too good to be true, like blasphemy. That is why the Gospel must be spiritually discerned. It is only through the Holy Spirit that we can understand and believe this good news.
“Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:13-14 WEB)
The new creation in Christ is neither male nor female. Our born-again spirit is totally different from the children of Adam.
“For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise.” (Galatians 3:26-29 WEB)
Being a son of God is not about gender (male or female). Before Jesus became a man, He was a spirit without a body, and already a Son.
Sonship is about position—being an heir who has authority and a stake in God’s kingdom. That is why even if you are a new creation in Christ living in a woman’s body, your spirit is still a son in Christ—it is about the position of the spirit, not the gender of the body.
Born-again believers will all receive new glorified bodies at the Rapture, and these will conform to our reborn spirits.
Can you declare this: “I, the spirit dwelling inside this mortal body, have been born again as a god and I am a son of the Most High. Just as Jesus had authority from God to proclaim the Gospel and work confirming signs and wonders, I too have received the same authority from Christ. As a royal priest to God, I shall use this God-given authority to help the weak, poor, fatherless, oppressed, and reach them with the good news of Jesus Christ!”

Everlasting Grace and Mercy
““For a small moment I have forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you. In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer. “For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will not be removed,” says Yahweh who has mercy on you.” Isaiah 54:7-10 WEB)
Mercy is when you are spared from the punishment that you deserve, and Grace is when you receive goodness and favor that you do not deserve.
In the passage above, the Lord speaks to Israel, of which we born-again believers are now considered citizens of.
At the cross, God’s wrath towards sin has been fully poured out on Jesus. For believers, God has no more wrath because Jesus has paid their sin debt and satisfied God’s holiness.
We can now enjoy His “great mercies” and “everlasting loving kindness”.
“Loving kindness” (in Hebrew, pronounced as “hesed”) is the Old Testament word for “grace” that is revealed in the New Testament.
God wants us to be so settled in our hearts about this, such that He swore to never be angry with us nor punish us. God cannot break His vow.
He swore that His grace will never depart from us, and the covenant of peace (the New Covenant of Grace) will never be removed from us.
“Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2 WEB)
You will never lose your salvation, and you will never fall out of God’s favor. His love towards you never changes. You have peace with God.
Believe this, and you will keep receiving His grace without the supply of grace being blocked by your own unbelief.
“But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 WEB)
To keep being transformed into Jesus’ image, meditate on beautiful passages like the one in Isaiah 54–see His love, grace, and mercy. Such portions of Scripture acts as a mirror to show you who you (the born-again spirit) have become in Christ. It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance.
As you behold the Lord in His abundant grace, you will be transformed in body and soul from glory to glory!

It opened my spiritual eyes to the fact that I don’t have to settle for the natural aging process of my body which I kind of took for granted. Through Jesus’ finished work I can enjoy youth renewal. Your daily devotional and scriptures illustrates that very clearly. For which I sincerely thank you! Your book is a “must” for all Seniors who like me focus more on the natural aging than on the spiritual truth! All glory to Jesus!” - Ilva S.
