The old methods of sales are dead.
Years ago, salespeople used to ram their product down your throat.
Tell you about all the features and benefits and pressure you into buying by using high-pressure closing techniques.
And today, there are still people that sell like this.
You can guess what their business looks like though.
These days, people want connection and to feel understood.
And you can’t understand your prospect without asking them carefully worded questions.
Sales is more about listening...
And figuring out their pains and motivations for buying...
Then matching those needs with your product or service, if you can solve their problem.

So many sales professionals think that once they close the prospect the sale is over.
But that’s simply not true.
The sales process only continues once the customer hands over their money.
Why?
Because people pay money to have their problems solved.
If your product or service doesn’t solve their problem...
Then it’s either the wrong solution or it doesn't work
Depending on your role in the company, it may or may not be your job to ensure the customer solves their problem...
But, all top-notch sales professionals follow up with their customers...
To discover if their customer is happy or not.
