【香港民族黨致函美國總統杜林普】
香港民族黨今日 (9/2) 致函美國總統杜林普，就中國對香港的猖獗殖民行徑，促請美國重訂對香港及中國的政策方針，包括：
1. 收窄《美國—香港政策法1992》(即香港關係法) 的適用範圍，廢除香港獨特經濟地位，阻止中國繼續濫用香港的特殊地位謀利，並藉此告知中國，香港和中國的關係以及所謂「一國兩制」，皆非中國內部事務。
2. 支持通過《香港人權及民主法》，容許美國政府凍結侵犯人權的中國官員於美國的資產，令美國於對中國的外交上有更大優勢。
3. 推動廢除中國的世貿成員資格，阻止中國繼續借世貿成員身份向世界輸出危害健康和侵犯知識產權的貨品。
民族黨亦在信中表示，香港獨立，使東亞唯一的普通法制金融樞紐脫離中國的殖民統治，最符合美國的利益。中國奪取香港主權後，一直利用國際社會對英屬香港遺留的信心謀利；阻止傲慢無禮、目無法紀且了無榮譽的共產政權借香港遺害於世，乃美國和香港的共同利益所在。
Hong Kong National Party (HKNP) wrote to Mr. President Trump today (9 February), inviting him to reconsider the US’s policy directions towards Hong Kong and China in light of rampant colonalisation of Hong Kong by China, including:
1. Narrowing the scope and application of United States-Hong Kong Policy Act of 1992, abolishing the special economic status granted to Hong Kong under the US laws, in order to stop China from from taking advantage of Hong Kong’s status, and to let China know that Hong Kong-China relation and the so-called “One Country, Two Systems” are never China’s internal affairs.
2. Supporting the passing of Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, so that the US Government may freeze the assets in the US of those Chinese officials who have infringed human rights, putting the US in a more advantageous position in its diplomacy against China.
3. Pushing forward revocation of China’s WTO membership, in order to prevent China from continuing its free export of goods which harm people’s health and infringe intellectual property rights.
HKNP points out in the letter that the independence of Hong Kong, freeing the only common-law financial hub in East Asia from Chinese colonial rule, serves best the interest of the US. After its usurpation of Hong Kong’s sovereignty, China has been abusing the confidence of the international community towards the legacy of British Hong Kong. Blocking the arrogant, lawless and dishonourable communist regime from harming the world through Hong Kong is of the common interest of the US and the city.
