【Hong Lin 康年餐廳, only Mongkok shop left opening after Covid started】might look like just about any Cha Chaan Teng & HK Bakery, but in fact Owner 蔡創波 was the 1st original founder of Tsui Wah 翠華 in Year 1967! Now in his 70's, He migrated to Canada back in the days & sold his business to his other workers/partners, who made it succeed & become a Listed Company 💹
After returning to HK, Boss Choi opened 康年. He made himself quite a name in Mongkok & Prince Edward, for employing the disabled & handicapped in his shops 殘疾員工. So in this same area of town, he was like the predecessor of @dignitykitchenhk .
The rice above is not bad & presented fascinatingly from a cup bowl, I have a fondness for his HK Napoleon 香港拿破崙, 1 of the best in town. Also his Egg Tarts are pretty excellent.
【Souvenir ideas 💡👡 胡記鞋業】This is where I get my slippers and I am sure your family and friends will love it too, so get a pair (or a few pairs) of these Made in Hong Kong embroidered slippers when you visit Hong Kong again. (and support small business!) How much are these slippers? It ranges from HKD$70-90 (Mine is HKD$75 - 4th photo).
You can also find other style of slippers (that you saw your grandmother wearing when you were young - last photo) and we saw parents getting ballet shoes 🩰 for their daughters too (6th photo)
By the way, why are there so many cardboard on the floor? So that you can step on it when you are trying on the shoes!
