Wonder how your journey of lenses been?
Mine been like this
When I started with Canon 500D/550D
1. Kitlens
2. Nifty 50 because so much recommendations by friends
3. Tamron 70-300mm f4-6.7 needed more tele lens (recommende by camera shop, which should not trust)
4. Used old Canon EF lenses, 28-105mm f3.5-4.6 and 70-210mm f3.5-4.5
5. Vintage legacy lenses via adapters, Olympus OM Zuiko 50mm f1.4 , Vivitar 28mm f2, Tokino 85-200mm f2.8
6. Used Sigma 28mm f1.8 getting more serious
7. Used Canon 10-22mm f3.5-4.5 completing whole 3.5-4.5 range
Changed from Canon to Panasonic G6
8. Adapters and speedboosters from ebay
9. Fujian and unknown brands experimental C-mount lenses
10. Starting buying Native m4/3 lenses first is Panasonic 14mm f2.5
11. GFC1 adapter to get more wide angle lens
Added Panasonic G7 for 4k
12. Panasonic 7-14mm f4 lens for a lighter setup than using 10-22mm from canon plus wider that 14mm with fisheye adapter.
Added GH5 for 4k 50p
13. Olympus 12mm f2 so I can get a wide shot but also better low light.
14. Panasonic 25mm f1.7 which I saw nice bokeh shots, but after using it was not that great
15. 42.5mm f1.7 which I like a lot for better bokeh shots.
16. Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 as curious using this more pro lens also added 3d printed focus rings to it, still want to buy a Metabones speedbooster for it though.
Actually also whole range of sony e-mount next to this but already sold most of it now.

In this episode, I speak about my experience of switching from all native micro four thirds lenses to adapted Canon EF zoom lenses. I was looking for a reasonably priced super wide angle zoom for my micro four thirds system. They must fulfil 3 criteria:
1. It has to start from 14-16mm full frame equivalent
2. It must have a constant aperture of F2.8
3. It must be able to mount round filters (of maximum 82mm size).
Unfortunately, there isn't any super wide angle zoom within the micro four thirds system that fulfil those 3 criteria.
Incidentally, I was looking at speedboosters, namely the Viltrox EF-M2 II, to adapt APS-C lenses for my needs. With the Viltrox speedbooster and a super wide angle zoom lens for APS-C sensor, I concocted a lens combination that no system in the world has.
In the end, I sold all of my native micro four third lenses and swapped them for Canon mount zoom lenses. I now effectively have a 16-23mm F2 and a 34-149mm F2.8.

This video I've tested the Samyang 12mm T2.2 Cine Lens to see if I would want to expand my lenses to MFT Cine Lenses, however I was quite disappointed by the result as the lens not being sharp wide open and having haze flares issues, making me to flag off light at certain shots to get rid of the haze.

In this video I am showing you how I got a f/0.85 lens for $200 bucks. However I was lucky to be able to get the Porst Color Reflex for €85 as the seller didn't knew how much such a lens is worth. And especially using the new Panasonic GH5, having faster lenses really made it much easier to film at night. So happy searching 2nd hand Vintage lenses and especially combining them with affordable dumb focal reducers / speedboosters you can get yourself really fast lenses without spending a lot of money.
