基隆有議員在台電的回覆裡發現（見圖），浮體式接收站至少要用5年。大家再查一下就知道，國外浮體式不但用的更久，連超級颶風也無法影響運作。

The Gulf Gateway（浮體式接收站） was in operation in the Gulf of Mexico during Hurricane Katrina（卡崔娜颶風） and Hurricane Ike and was not affected by either storm.
