คงไม่มีทางลืมตัวละครหนึ่ง ที่มีชื่อว่า Sean Parker อย่างแน่นอน
ชายที่มีความยียวนกวนใจ แต่ก็แฝงไปด้วยความเฉลียวฉลาด

ซึ่งเขาคนนี้ เป็นคนที่ไม่ว่าจะพูดอะไร Mark Zuckerberg ก็เห็นดีเห็นงามไปหมด
ถึงขนาดที่ยกตำแหน่งประธานบริษัท Facebook ให้กับ Parker ไปเลย

Sean Parker เกิดที่รัฐเวอร์จิเนีย ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ในปี 1979
เมื่ออายุได้ 7 ขวบ พ่อของเขาทำให้เขาได้รู้จักอีกโลกหนึ่งนั่นคือ โลกของคอมพิวเตอร์

โดยพ่อของเขาได้สอนวิธีเขียนโปรแกรมบนเจ้าคอมพิวเตอร์รุ่น Atari 800
ตั้งแต่นั้นมา Sean Parker ก็ได้หลงรักและสามารถเขียนโคดเป็นตั้งแต่เด็ก

จากทักษะและความชอบสิ่งนี้ ส่งผลให้ชีวิตของ Sean Parker เปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างสิ้นเชิง

เริ่มตั้งแต่ในช่วง 15 ปี Sean Parker ได้สร้างวีรกรรมที่โด่งดัง จน FBI ต้องสืบและตามจับ
โดยสิ่งที่เขาทำคือการแฮกฐานระบบข้อมูลของมหาวิทยาลัยและบริษัทต่าง ๆ ทั่วโลก

จริง ๆ แล้ว เขามักจะแฮกข้อมูลเป็นงานอดิเรกเพราะไม่มีใครตามจับได้
แต่ในที่สุดเขาก็ถูก FBI จับได้ ขณะที่กำลังแฮกข้อมูลบริษัทอื่นอยู่

และเหตุผลที่เขาโดน FBI ตามตัวจนพบ
ก็เพราะว่าพ่อของเขาเข้ามายึดคีย์บอร์ดไว้ เนื่องจากเห็นว่าลูกของตนเล่นคอมพิวเตอร์มากจนเกินไป ทำให้เขาไม่สามารถออกจากระบบได้ทันเวลา จึงส่งผลให้ FBI ตามสืบได้

แต่เนื่องจาก Sean Parker มีอายุเพียง 15 ปี
โทษที่เขาได้รับจึงเป็นเพียง การบำเพ็ญประโยชน์ให้กับชุมชนเท่านั้น

จากเรื่องนี้แม้สุดท้าย Sean Parker จะโดนจับได้
แต่ก็ทำให้เขาเริ่มมีชื่อเสียงในวงการนี้มากขึ้น
ทำให้เขาได้รู้จักกับชาวแฮกเกอร์วัยเดียวกันที่ชื่อว่า “Shawn Fanning”
ซึ่งคนนี้เองเป็นคนที่กำลังจะมีบทบาทสำคัญในอนาคตของเขา

ด้วยนิสัยใจคอและความชอบที่เหมือนกัน จึงทำให้ทั้งสองตัดสินใจทำธุรกิจร่วมกัน
โดยไอเดียธุรกิจแรกที่พวกเขาคิดคือ Crosswalk ที่จะเข้ามาช่วยป้องกันการโจมตีจากแฮกเกอร์
แต่เนื่องจากทั้งคู่ยังมีประสบการณ์ที่น้อย จึงยังไม่สามารถผลักดันให้กลายเป็นธุรกิจจริงได้

ทั้งสองจึงตกลงแยกย้ายกันไปฝึกทักษะและหาประสบการณ์เพิ่มเติม
เพื่อที่วันข้างหน้าจะได้กลับมาร่วมทำธุรกิจกันอีก

ปีต่อมาเมื่อ Sean Parker อายุ 16 ปี เขาก็ได้ทำโปรแกรมที่รวบรวมข้อมูลเว็บไซต์ในยุคแรก ๆ ขึ้นมาสำเร็จ ส่งผลให้เขาได้รับรางวัลงานวิทยาศาสตร์คอมพิวเตอร์แห่งรัฐเวอร์จิเนีย
และเป็นที่ถูกอกถูกใจของหน่วยงาน CIA เป็นอย่างมาก ถึงขนาดต้องการจ้างเขาเข้ามาทำงาน

แต่ Sean Parker ก็ได้ปฏิเสธเพราะตนสนใจเรื่องธุรกิจมากกว่า
จึงทำให้เขาเลือกทำงานกับเหล่าบริษัทเทคโนโลยีต่าง ๆ
เช่น FreeLoader และ UUNet บริษัทผู้บุกเบิกการให้บริการทางอินเทอร์เน็ต

ในปีสุดท้ายของการศึกษาระดับชั้นมัธยมปลาย เขาสามารถสร้างเงินได้ถึง 2.5 ล้านบาท
ซึ่งเพียงพอที่จะโน้มน้าวให้พ่อแม่ของเขาปล่อยให้เขาเลือกที่จะไม่เรียนมหาวิทยาลัยต่อ

ช่วงเวลานี้เองที่ Shawn Fanning เพื่อนแฮกเกอร์คนสนิทของเขาก็ได้กลับมาเจอกันอีกครั้ง
และเขาก็ได้เล่าถึงโปรแกรมที่พัฒนาขึ้นมา ซึ่งทำให้ผู้ใช้งานสามารถแชร์ไฟล์เพลงบนโลกอินเทอร์เน็ตได้

Sean Parker เห็นว่าโปรแกรมนี้สามารถต่อยอดไปได้อีกไกล
จึงเกลี้ยกล่อมเพื่อนของเขาให้นำมาสร้างเป็นธุรกิจอย่างจริงจัง
ในที่สุดทั้งคู่ก็ได้ต่อยอดโปรแกรมดังกล่าวกลายมาเป็น “Napster”
แพลตฟอร์มที่ให้ผู้คนสามารถแชร์และดาวน์โหลดเพลงด้วยกัน

Napster ได้สร้างความฮือฮาให้กับอุตสาหกรรมวงการเพลงอย่างมาก

แต่รู้หรือไม่ว่า จากกระแสที่มาแรงของ Napster ทำให้เกิดบริการหนึ่งในเวลาต่อมา
นั่นก็คือ iTunes ของ Apple เพราะ Steve Jobs เห็นแล้วว่าพฤติกรรมของผู้คนกำลังเปลี่ยนแปลงไปจากเดิมที่ซื้อแบบแผ่นเสียง แต่ตอนนี้กลับมาดาวน์โหลดผ่านโลกออนไลน์

เขาจึงตัดสินใจใช้โอกาสนี้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ ในการเข้าไปผูกมิตรกับค่ายเพลง
เพื่อที่ตนจะสามารถนำเพลงมาวางขายบน iTunes ได้อย่างถูกต้อง
และอย่างที่รู้กัน iTunes ก็ประสบความสำเร็จในเวลาต่อมา

เรื่องนี้เองทำให้ Sean Parker ไม่พอใจอย่างมาก
แต่ตนก็ไม่สามารถทำอะไรได้ จึงตัดสินใจคิดหาธุรกิจตัวใหม่ขึ้นมา

โดยใช้ประสบการณ์ที่ได้เรียนรู้จากธุรกิจที่แล้ว
ทั้งเรื่องการเงิน กฎหมายธุรกิจต่าง ๆ และความเป็นผู้ประกอบการ

และแล้วก็ได้เกิดธุรกิจใหม่ที่มีชื่อว่า “Plaxo” ซึ่งเป็นบริการที่มาช่วยเหลือสำหรับขยายกลุ่มผู้ใช้งานบนเครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์และบริการนี้เองมีส่วนช่วยให้ LinkedIn และ Facebook ประสบความสำเร็จในเวลาต่อมา

เมื่อธุรกิจเริ่มดำเนินไปได้ดี Sean Parker กลับละเลยการทำงาน
ทำให้สุดท้ายเขาก็โดนเพื่อน ๆ ที่ร่วมก่อตั้งกันมาไล่ออกในที่สุด

และแล้วในช่วงหลังจากนี้เอง ที่เขาได้รู้จักกับเว็บไซต์
ที่ในช่วงนั้นกำลังเป็นกระแสที่ชื่อว่า “Facebook”

เขาทดลองเล่น พบว่าโซเชียลมีเดียตัวนี้ทำให้ตนเองติดมาก
จึงรีบหาช่องทางติดต่อกับ Mark Zuckerberg เพื่อมาพูดคุยสานความสัมพันธ์กัน

ซึ่ง Mark Zuckerberg ก็ตอบตกลงเพราะนับถือ Sean Parker เป็นดั่งไอดอลอยู่แล้ว

ในช่วงเวลานั้น Facebook ยังให้บริการเฉพาะนักศึกษาเท่านั้น

จึงแนะนำให้ Mark Zuckerberg ขยายฐานผู้ใช้งาน

และเขาก็เป็นคนแนะแนวทางให้ด้วยว่า

เวลาล่วงเลยผ่านไปหลายปี แต่ Sean Parker ก็ยังไม่หยุดคิดถึง Napster
