How can the United States and Taiwan continue to work together to address the many challenges that face the world today? Daniel Russel, visiting Asia Society Diplomat in Residence, today shared his insights with faculty and students at National Chengchi University. In his past positions in the U.S. State Department, Russel worked on Taiwan issues and he has an abiding confidence in the U.S.-Taiwan relationship. As he told the audience, “The occupants of the White House and the Presidential Office here have changed. What has not changed is the deep-rooted friendship between the people of the United States and Taiwan.
