““Hey! Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which doesn’t satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in richness. Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.” (Isaiah 55:1-3 WEB)
If you have no money, at least you have time which is the purest currency that all of us have.
Invest your time in God’s word which is true wine (joy), milk (nourishment), and bread (satisfaction) that really benefits you.
Make sure that you are feasting on Christ-focused revelations from God’s word on a regular basis. This is good, rich food that delights the soul.
You cannot enjoy the victorious life in Christ if you are starving yourself by neglecting God’s word.
What is the “everlasting covenant” that God has made with us? It is the New Covenant of Grace.
Under Grace, God wants you to turn your ear to Him and hear His word so that you will live. Not just live physically, but enjoy the full benefits of eternal life—the abundant life that Jesus talked about in John 10:10.
Some Christians still don’t realize that the Scriptures are not just for comforting our emotions or teaching us moral lessons. There is God’s power for salvation contained in the Gospel, and it is released in a person who believes it.
“For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.” (Romans 1:16 WEB)
Not just salvation from Hell, but salvation from trouble, sickness, enemies, poverty, depression, broken relationships, etc. The purpose of preaching the Gospel is not about speaking eloquent words, but it is about releasing God’s power for salvation.
If you want to reign in life now, and not only after you reach Heaven, then you must take God’s prescription seriously:
“For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:17 WEB)
See to it that your staple diet is the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, with a central focus on the one: Jesus Christ. This is the kind of message to feed on daily. You will recognize it because you will feel like your soul is satisfied and jumping for joy after receiving such a Gospel message!

幸福之源不在外部的事物中,幸福源於我們自身// True Happiness comes from within.
《 有沒有人想試試看翻譯這個?哈哈》
Over the past few months, I’ve spent much time evaluating theology and the core foundation of happiness. It’s been the most rewarding and humbling experience to deconstruct and rebuild my individualism and inner-conscience.
Pure happiness comes from one's inner-self, confidence, and a healthy balance of knowledge and comfort with facing the unknown. For thousands of years, humans have used fabricated beliefs, folklore, and religion to have a spiritual, mental, and moral compass; but most commonly to provide our minds to cope with the unknown. Through these methods, people for centuries have had outlets and ways to look past the fear of the unknown and the comfort of hope for the future. This is the beauty of religion and folklore; it’s how societies strive together and how the world and humankind have cultivated charity, patience, and love.
My entire life, I’ve tried my best to keep a positive attitude and an optimistic mentality regardless of what challenges I’m facing. I’ve used my foundational beliefs as a crutch for my moral compass and course for my pursuit to find joy. After moving abroad and seeing the world from a different perspective, I’ve realized that humanity has more than one path to happiness. Instead, there is an infinite number of possibilities and methods. But as I’ve observed from many different cultures, people and societies, I’ve realized that happiness comes solely from oneself.
Outside sources can influence emotions, but in the end, it’s determined by yourself. Don’t rely on others or religions for peace and happiness, but instead rely on yourself.
It may be cheesy to post a picture of me drinking water while watching the sunset, but it’s more symbolic than literal. I’ve found my new purpose and identity and have shed away my fabricated foundation—no more superficial happiness and conscience decisions from societal gaslighting, manipulation, and cultural-based comfort. I’m drinking water and have put down the kool-aid and can look into the sunset with more substantial knowledge and happiness of the future.
Find yourself, and be yourself. Find your happiness, and become your happiness.

Public and Private Success
“This is a faithful saying: if a man seeks the office of an overseer, he desires a good work. The overseer therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, modest, hospitable, good at teaching; not a drinker, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having children in subjection with all reverence; (but if a man doesn’t know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the assembly of God?) not a new convert, lest being puffed up he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover he must have good testimony from those who are outside, to avoid falling into reproach and the snare of the devil.” (1 Timothy 3:1-7 WEB)
Whether or not you get to be an overseer in the church in this lifetime, you can choose to live as though you are one, with the same moral excellence displayed both publicly and privately. This is not to impress man, but to live in a way that pleases and glorifies God.
How do all these good qualities in the passage above happen? You cannot fake them, if not your actions may seem holy but your mind and heart will be a cesspool of evil.
The transformation has to happen from the inside out through receiving God’s word. It takes time for God to work on you. As you consistently receive His word, He will transform you, making your soul more Christ-like, in actions, emotions and thoughts.
It starts with wanting to be transformed. Do you want to be even more sanctified in your walk with the Lord, or are you okay with just being like the world?
“Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:5-7 WEB)
Subject yourselves to those who are found worthy as overseers and humbly learn from them. When you are ready, God will promote you. There should be no rush in this matter because our eyes are on the Lord and not on the glory of the leadership roles.
This year, may we be found worthy as children of God who have the spirit of an overseer, blameless in God’s sight, by His grace alone!
Even if you never get the honor of serving as a leader in church in this lifetime, Jesus still has important roles for you in the Millennium and beyond. These are His rewards for faithful service—eternal rewards that will stand the test of time. Jesus’ return draws ever closer, so learn all about His rewards: http://bit.ly/sandcastlesdontlastforever
