Sound spiritual advice from the Reformer Martin Luther on the pandemic even before modern medicine (no, I'm not joking):
Use medicine; take potions which can help you; fumigate house, yard, and street; shun persons and places wherever your neighbor does not need your presence or has recovered, and act like a man who wants to help put out the burning city. What else is the epidemic but a fire which instead of consuming wood and straw devours life and body? You ought to think this way: “Very well, by God’s decree the enemy has sent us poison and deadly offal. Therefore I shall ask God mercifully to protect us. Then I shall fumigate, help purify the air, administer medicine, and take it. I shall avoid places and persons where my presence is not needed in order not to become contaminated and thus perchance infect and pollute others, and so cause their death as a result of my negligence. If God should wish to take me, he will surely find me and I have done what he has expected of me and so I am not responsible for either my own death or the death of others. If my neighbor needs me, however, I shall not avoid place or person but will go freely, as stated above. See, this is such a God-fearing faith because it is neither brash nor foolhardy and does not tempt God.
Moreover, he who has contracted the disease and recovered should keep away from others and not admit them into his presence unless it be necessary...

Kindness is like a boomerang. What you give out comes back.
Being on either side is a blessing. No matter if you are the one to give or the one to receive.

Today we run out of gasoline in the middle of nowhere. Neither the gas gauge nor the milage display is working on my scooter. Luckily there was a taiwanese family, we had just met, behind us. Mum, dad and two boys, also on a scooter. Instead of leaving us alone in the dark to get some fuel, the man pushed us with his knee almost 2km to the main street. His wife called another friend to meet us there with gasoline. I found it difficult to control the bike, I really don't know how he managed to controll his bike with 4 people on while pushing us with his knee. So grateful for this kind people.
On the way home, a Indian woman stopped me to give her a lift to the next village. She sat behind me with her huge carry one, but it felt like there was no extra weight behind us on the scooter. I felt this was my chance to pass on the kindness I had received minutes earlier. Instead of just dropping her off at the center, I asked where she needed to go and drove her an extra 2km. She left with a huge smile on her face and so did I.

You are the Light of the World
“As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but, that the works of God might be revealed in him. I must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud, and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means “Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.” (John 9:1-7 WEB)
The disciples who did not have the power to heal, were discussing why the man was born blind.
Sometimes people have a tendency to talk as if they know what is going on, assuming things that they know nothing about.
We make up all sorts of smart-sounding explanations for why things happen, when only God knows the truth.
The disciples asked whether the man sinned such that he was blind from birth. It is either that they believed in reincarnation (the false concept of past lives), or acting smart has just made them really foolish. How can an unborn person sin so that they are born blind?
Jesus was not interested to discuss about sin. He wanted to talk about God and to release God’s power.
In stark contrast to the disciples, Jesus is solution oriented. He knew He had the power to heal the man and doing that was His priority.
Jesus gave us a pattern to follow. Night is coming upon this world—a time of great tribulation. The church won’t be here to do the works of God to restrain the power of evil.
“You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 WEB)
While we are still in the world, we are the light of the world. Say this now: “I am the light of the world, for the Spirit of Christ dwells in me.”
You have the responsibility to shine since you have this light. God has sent you to be a bearer of His light. Pray for people and be a conduit for God’s power to flow through to the world. Do good whenever God gives you the opportunity. Be solution-focused like Jesus!

Taken on a 2 hour visit to Shinjuku Gyoen Park during my trip to Tokyo Japan using the Sony a7r with Carl Zeiss 55mm f1.8 FE lens. I am just starting to get into video so I must apologize for the quality (not that my photos were that great either :p).
I really wished that I had a tripod or monopod with me. As it was, all the shots were taken handheld, and since neither the camera nor the lens has stabilization, the shots were shakier than I would have liked.
Shot in AVCHD at 50fps 1080p
The beautiful music is "I want to believe you" by Lori Carson.
