尖沙咀│一盅兩件。素食點心 (eng below)

嘩嘩嘩！超久沒有去港式「飲茶」了！其實小時候不太愛「飲茶」，素食後就光明正大地不用去，本來是挺開心的 🤣 後來太久沒去，居然還有點懷念，畢竟這是我們香港的本土文化啊 😎

最近這家【緻素坊 Veggie Kingdom】超級紅，很多素友都非常推薦！說到我的最愛一定是「叉燒包」！這個叉燒包跟傳統的有些許不一樣，包子外層有點像「菠蘿油」的酥皮 ，悄悄告訴你，我以前最討厭吃叉燒包 😅 現在居然那麼喜歡，連我自己也不敢相信 😆

還有一向喜愛的「燒賣」，素食版的燒賣感覺更真材實料，我可以一個人吃3籠 ✌️ 還有「腸粉」也是必點，超推薦「靈芝菇素腸」😋

第一次去的時候超興奮，與其他3位美女點了超多點心，感覺把整個點心紙的食物都點了一遍 😂 第二次去是跟家人，大家都意外地覺得好吃 😇

Tsim Sha Tsui│Vegan Dim Sum
It's been a long time since I went to Hong Kong-style "Dim Sum House"! In fact, I didn’t really like "Dim Sum House" when I was young. I was happy that I don't have to go after my switch. But sometimes will miss it because it is our local culture in Hong Kong 😎

Recently this [Veggie Kingdom] is super popular, and many vegans highly recommend it! Speaking of my favorite, it must be "BBQ Pork Buns - Cha Siu Bao"! This Cha Siu Bao is a little different from the traditional one. The outer layer of the bun is a bit like "pineapple bun". Let me tell you secretly, I used to hate the Cha Siu Bao the most. Now I actually like it so much, I can't believe it myself 😆

There is also the "Pork Dumplings - Siu Mai" that has always been my favorite. It feels like the vegan version of Siu Mai has more real ingredients. I can have 3 cages by myself. ✌️ There is also "Rice Noodle Rolls" which is also a must try. I highly recommend the "Ganoderma Lucidum Mushroom" flavor 😋

I was so excited when I went there for the first time. I ordered a lot of dim sum with 3 other beauties. We felt like we ordered the whole dim sum paper food. The second time I went with my family, everyone unexpectedly found it delicious 😇

@tiffinroomsg is rounding off a series of successful collaborations with an enchanting showcase of specially curated dishes and well-crafted cocktails from @elephantroomsg (4 courses + 4 cocktails - $118/guest). We definitely are no stranger to wine pairings but Indian cuisine paired with Indian-influenced cocktails? That might just be a first!

The first course sees a Crispy Fried Prawn with a sweet and spicy guava chutney and masala peanuts paired with “Buffalo Road” - a cocktail with Juniper spirit and pink guava. The cocktail was really good(my fave) and I absolutely enjoyed the textural contrast and explosion of flavours in the dish

The second course highlights an interesting ingredient - betel leaf. Expect the softest melt-in-your-mouth lamb kebab which has been minced 8 times over a span of 8-9 hours, on a delightfully crisp fried betel leaf, complemented by “Race Course Plantation” - a rum-based cocktail with sugar cane juice, coconut, and betel leaf. I’ve never been a fan of lamb but this was breathtakingly delicious! I don’t think I’ll ever find a lamb kebab this good!

Third course : Achari Murgh Curry, Madras Fish Curry, Dalcha Chop Masala, Paneer Pulao (in signature tiffin box) with plain, garlic and cheese naan. I’m a little sad that the Achari Murgh and Madras Fish Curry will not be available after this collaboration ends because they are insanely yummy. I rarely eat Indian food but I would kill for these two curries and the fragrant naan anyday! Will strongly urge you to give them a try before this menu runs its course (16 September). The accompanying cocktail “Mr Desker” (made with 2 Indian whiskies) was pretty strong when I first tried it but when I took sips of it in between bites of naan, rice, and curry, I realised that the cocktail actually tasted perfect. I was really surprised but I Guess that’s the beauty of food and alcohol pairing ! So much art and finesse!

And finally, a unique dessert of rice and milk dumplings cooked with Jaggery, paired with Sippin @ 78(Bru coffee rum, coconut kombucha & caramelised onions)

I don’t think you can get such an exclusive meal with 4 cocktails at just $118 anywhere else so make a reservation now!

New seasonal dessert set menu from @onetreehill_taipei!! This time they incorporated many traditional Chinese herbs/ ingredients into their desserts and carefully paired it with three different kinds of Chinese tea! Everything is sooo good! Hurry up and make your reservation before it’s too late!

女ひとり、立ち飲みに初チャレンジ！東京都町田市にある立ち飲みができる『立ち飲み 町呑屋』に伺ってきました。今回1人飲みするにあたり、1人でパッと呑めるお店をと思い伺ってみました。オーナーはお酒の小売りをしていらっしゃるそう。地元町田にちなんだお酒をはじめ、町田の豆腐店や野菜なども積極的に取り入れて町田を盛り上げようと尽力されています。オーナーご自身もお酒がお好きだそうで豊富に揃うお酒も珍しいものが多数ありました。また、女性スタッフの方がその日仕入れたものでメニューを考えているそうで、毎日通っても飽きない心遣いが随所に感じられました。常連の方も多くいらしていましたが自分のような一見さんも気軽に入れるお店でした。お店の様子やオーナーの方のいろいろなお話など、ぜひ一緒にお楽しみください！

昭和の時代からある焼きそばとお好み焼きの味！神奈川県平塚市『吉香（きっこう）』に伺いました。平塚で古くから焼きそばやお好み焼きを焼いてきたお店で、地元の方から「ソウルフード」と言われ親しまれているそうです。基本は月曜定休ですが、現在は自粛に伴いお昼営業でやられており、しかもテイクアウトのみだそうです。事前にお電話で予約してほしいとのこと。お店が開いていることが少なく、今回は念願かなっての初訪問でした。それでは昔懐かしい味わい、ぜひごらんください！

The taste of yakisoba and okonomiyaki from the Showa period! We visited "Kikkou" in Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is a restaurant that has been grilling yakisoba and okonomiyaki in Hiratsuka for a long time, and it is said that it is popular with locals as "soul food". With borders still closed due to Covid19, but things clearing up for us here in Malaysia, what better time to discover new travel spots in our own country? We overlook so many spots that tourists come to see, and I thought it would be apt to start with a place I've been wanting to visit for 3 years: Sky Mirror Malaysia. It's totally worth the trip!
