Pon Bebels and Cooks with Moe
Recipe: Singgang Bawal Putih (White Pomfret Sour Soup) (From The Malay Kitchen Book)

Ingredients:
50g yellow onions, cut into slices
10g garlic cloves, cut into slice
20g fresh tumeric , shredded (I didn't have any, so use 1/4 tsp tumeric powder)
2 fresh red chillies, cut into thin strips
2 fresh green chillies, cut into thin strips
30gm cooking oil (I used grapeseed oil)
2 dried tamarind pieces, rinsed or 40gm tamarind paste (I like mine sour, so I would have added another tamarind piece)
2tsp salt ( I used my homemade stock)
1/2 sugar
700gm water
700-800g pomfrets (approx 2 small pomfrets) diagonally halved across the fins
Preparation:
1. Place yellow onions, garlic cloves, ginger, tumeric, red chillies, green chillies and cooking oil into mixing bowl, saute 4mins / 120c / speed 1
2. Add dried tamarind pieces, salts, sugar and water. Boil 8min/ 100c/ speed 1
3. Add pomfrets, cook 2 mins 30 secs / Varoma / Reverse Mode / Speed spoon. Let it stand for 2 minutes. Serve hot

Dish:
A. Cooking rice using the simmering basket "method" (300-350gm about 3 put medium size)
1. Rinse your rice (you can also rinse using the TMX, but I just wash the rice using the simmering basket sana sinki sia)
2. Place Simmering Basket into your Mixing Bowl
3. Add water sama level with your beras. (1cm higher for rice like Basmati)
4. 18mins/ 100c / speed 3.5
B. Reheating my Linopot rice using at the same time using the Varoma Dish
What is Linopot? (bungkusan)
Linopot is rice (padi bukit best) usually mashed with either yam, monduk (keledek) , labu manis or kasou then wrapped in leaves like punti (banana) kobu, tintad, longkobung or timadang (tarap). Tarap tree leaves are usually used for linopod because of its size.
Usually served with lauk on the side in numbers of 3, 7 or 9.
Camy Linopot sent them over last night and I had some leftovers so I share how I panaskan using the Thermomix TM6 sambil masak nasi putih for the kiddos.

Many of you have asked me to share my confinement experiences with you. It’s a really hard topic to cover as there are too many areas to talk about. After two kids, I think I have a better idea on how I would boil this down. So I’ve basically summarised ‘confinement’ into 3 main parts. Hope it makes it easier for you guys to understand.
This is all from my personal experience and what confinement was like for me, there is no right or wrong way. Hope all the mummies/ mummies to be can use this as an introduction, so your postpartum recovery will be a lot more smooth sailing.Many of you have asked me to recommend my confinement nannies to you, however each mother and nanny may have very different expectations with regard to what needs to be done and this can be quite subjective, so I won’t be making any recommendations.

ラジオ雑談で使った話をこっちでもしていく。その話題とはずばり、落ち込んだ時の対処法。最近は例のウイルスのせいで落ち込む機会も多いと思う世の中。特に自粛期間は家から出られないわ、イベントは潰れるわ、友だちには会えないわでストレスを溜めた人が多いでしょう。(何故その時に話さなかった。)(日本では外出自粛という謎の制限があったのです、外国の皆様。理解するのは難しいと思う。)

で、どうするかなんだけど、一番手っ取り早いのは眠って忘れる作戦。落ち込みの度合いによるけど、時間が解決してくれることも世の中多いと思うんですよ。だからとりあえず落ち込んだ当日は眠る。メンタルじゃなくてフィジカルから回復していこうぜということだ。帰宅後すぐに寝てしまって夜に眠れなくなったなら、好きな作品でもYouTuberでも眠くなるまで見ればいいじゃない。その点、最近はサブスクサービスがたくさんあって困らないよね。ASMR動画を見て無理やり寝るのもいいと思うよ。(隠す気のない宣伝)

個人的にしてることは、落ち込んだ物事から無理矢理にでも離れる。特に何かでミスした時はもう過去には戻れないわけだから。嫌なニュースがあった時はなるべくネットを見ないとかね。ただ離れる過程で逆にそれを意識してしまっては意味がないので、切り替えのできない人には向いてない作戦。

そういう時に何もしてないと変に考え込む人もいると思う。それだと意味がないので、そういう時は好きな作品でも見てやり過ごそう。過去に見たお気に入りの作品を、数年ぶりに見ると楽しいぞ~。ドラマだったら10時間くらい、アニメだったら5時間くらいは潰せるでしょう。まあ何か別のことに集中できるなら何でもいいのです。
そういう意味では予定を詰め込んで忙しくするのもいいと思う。(自分はやらないけど。)しばらくは世の情勢的にも難しいだろうけど。
多分、これを読んでる人は学生が多いだろうけど、例えば友だちの言動で落ち込んだとしたらキャパオーバーに気をつけて接するのがいいんじゃないかと思う。よく友人関係のトラブルが~って悩みを見かけるけど、解決しそうもない悩みなら逃げるのもありだし、付き合い方を考えた方がいい。始めから逃げるのがあまり推奨したくないけど、向き合った結果逃げるのは何も問題がない。先生に対しての悩みの場合はなかなか難しい。相手の言動を変えることはほぼ無理だ。ならば「この人はこういう人間なんだ」っていう風に考えればいい。少しでもハードルを下げれば、受け入れられなくともダメージは少なくできるかもしれない。
