Korean Ginseng Chicken is a popular dish in Korea, it is believed to bring invigorating-medicinal effect. To savor this delicacy at Jeju, make your way to Ehwa Samgyetang at Seogwipo town. It is quite easy to notice... it can be found on one of the busiest streets on Seogwipo, though the area has plenty of eateries and restaurants, Ehwa Samgyetang stands out with its huge signage. The menu is simple and straight forward, only offering one item- Ginseng Chicken Soup, though available in different variants. Their Ginseng Chicken is lightly flavored with no seasoning. A complimentary glass of Ginseng Wine will be provided, in which diners can opt to drink it directly or to mix it in the soup for a bolder Ginseng flavor. Do note that the restaurant has a one soup one diner policy, so sharing is not allowed.

Ken Hunts Food's Travel Itinerary to Jeju 2020 is coming up real soon!

In close proximity to the Jeju Folk Village is an area filled with restaurants and eateries. Pyoson Kalguksu is one of the restaurants that left me with the deepest impression. Not because of the restaurant per se but the food itself. It was something very new for me... something that I have not tried before. The Sea Snail Knife Noodles has a very unique broth... cooked from using an enormous amount of Sea Snails and Seaweed. The broth carried a very strong seafood essence... a little overwhelming to the extent that the fish stench at first but fortunately, the actual taste was not as expected. It was very smooth with bold seafood sweetness, the stench was not there at all. The home-made Knife Noodles were slightly al-dente and worked well with the slightly starchy but seafoody broth. Inexpensive price tags and generous serving portions.

首爾遊的最後一個post, 決定以 @jungsik_inc 收尾😌 好多人都說這裡好食, 所以決定這次旅行必須來陶醉只此一次的fine dining奢侈餐🙈
這其實是Oppa到著後的第一頓飯。 因為航班深夜才抵達仁川, 第二天起床, 就馬上跟朋友來食飯了。 只能說, 這餐飯為這次首爾遊作出了完美的開場😍
食頭盤前有5款細膩小食, 全部都含有韓式元素!🇰🇷 頭盤(沒有圖)是濟州種植的蘆筍🌿 本地產蔬菜果然與別不同!
第二道菜, 我們就加了10000won點了海膽拌飯。 絕對值得! 飯粒混了海苔油, 超好味❤ 主菜要選擇海洋或者陸地。 我們都挑選了陸地, 黑毛豬🐷 嫩滑多汁, 出色!
最後, 甜品就是它們最有名的石頭人🗿 餐單會隨著季節變動, 但這道鎮店之寶永遠都刻在餐牌上! 當中亦是加入了韓國料理元素, 例如紅豆和濟州牛奶雪糕等🤤
因為這是Oppa第一次在韓國食fine dining, 覺得特別新奇。 友善專業的waiter為我們送上每一道菜的時候都會細心講解。 我聽完以後, 望着我朋友說, 我大概只聽懂了7成😳 (因為我朋友是韓國人, 所以waiter用了韓文解釋菜式。 但他們絕對能講流利英文!) 我朋友卻笑言, 原來他都只聽懂8成😂 大概是waiter語速太快, 還用了太多深奧的烹飪用語吧!
Ending my series of #Seoul food posts with a bang💥 Went here for lunch the day after I landed (aka, my first meal this trip), and oh man, it was the perfect feast to kick-start my vacation🇰🇷
I was determined to visit #정식당, so I immediately settled on this restaurant as my only extravagant, fine dining meal this trip✈
Before our 4-courses, we were presented with this beautiful arrangement of canapes😍 They were all delicate and delicious. The way they managed to add a Korean twist to each item completely blew my mind!
Then we were served Jeju-grown asparagus as an appetizer (not pictured), followed by a stellar Sea Urchin Bibimbap🍚 The rice was mixed with seaweed oil for an extra fragrant punch. We had to give an extra 10,000won for this but was TOTALLY worth😋
Had to choose btwn Land or Sea for our main course, and we went for the Iberico Pork with broccolini (Land) option🐷 Tender and cooked to perfection! And last but not least, dessert❤ The DulHarubang (stone statue) here is famous, and it did not disappoint👍 It was fun to eat and also incorporated Asian touches to it (e.g. Red Bean, Jeju milk ice cream).

For this episode, we embarked on an EPIC CHEAT DAY where I LOST MY ABS IN 6 HOURS! Steven, a long-time friend and semiregular guest star, suggested that we should head over to the East side of Singapore for a cheat day as there are many malls in close proximity there. Beginning at Tampines 1 and ending at Waterway Point, I ate 12 dishes from 4 different malls, resulting in a massive 7-inch increase in waist circumference.

It was a hard push towards the end, evident from my extremely distended midsection. My normally visible abdominals gave way to a turgid and swollen belly. However, it allowed me to satisfy my cravings in between my usually strict dieting between shoots. I was pleased with Steven’s choice of malls as they had good selections of food and drinks while mostly being walking distance from one another.

After 3 days in Jeju, our next 5 days will be in BUSAN! On our first day, we went to the popular tourist destination, Songdo, to check out the Songdo Skywalk and Cable Car. We were super happy to watch the beautiful Busan view and sunset on the cable car ride down and stop by the Songdo beach before eating our yummy dinner!
