More than half of year is gone just like that. No one knows how long this pandemic will last, and i know many of us feel stuck. Yes, it does affect to many of us physically and mentally. 雖然話一竹篙唔能夠打一船人,而確實我自己都曾經請過一個bootcamp畢業嘅同學,我覺得佢係少數「識嘢」嘅developer(咁我哋請人都係千挑萬選先請嘅)。
但係又確實,某間bootcamp畢業嘅同學,CV都係大同少異,github上面嘅project又係差唔得幾多。喺某bootcamp畢業,而我又in過嘅同學(數埋都有十幾個),基本上除咗曾經請咗嗰位同事,其他嘅都係答唔到啲基礎問題,即係話,根基未夠,一超越咗佢學過嘅嘢嘅問題就答唔到,就算係bootcamp學過嘅嘢,都唔算好熟,問深入少少,好啲嘅就直認唔識,唔好嘅就遊花園問非所答。
如果有啲公司,負責in人嘅並唔係IT底,係有機會俾某bootcamp嘅同學拋到,因為佢哋學個set嘢係比較新嘅tech,in嘅人冇接觸過可能問都未必識問,或者就咁講個信字就會請咗。但係以我所接觸嘅行家嚟講,如果in人嘅係識tech嘅話,基本上九成九都唔願意花時間去in bootcamp出嚟嘅同學,因為命中率實在太低。
咁樣對行業係好事定壞事?我覺得凡事冇嘢係「好晒」或者「壞晒」,永遠係講緊「好嘅多啲」,定係「唔好嘅多啲」。我個人睇法係,咁多大同少異嘅CV湧現,而其中大部份都係根底未打穩嘅同學加入市場,可以話係「壞多於好」。
而家呢個情況嚟講,唔可以怪晒bootcamp,因為就算唔係某bootcamp教啲同學寫CV(我希望唔係),啲同學自己都會互相「參考」。而請咗唔啱用,呢個係僱主in人嘅問題,唔係求職者嘅問題。但係如果請親都唔啱用(無論係因為見工時「吹大咗」,又或者低估咗現實嘅殘酷),機構對於「IT人」嘅印像就會更加差,同業嘅地位就會變得比而家更低。
Developer嘅世界好大,識得越多,就越知道自己渺小。Bootcamp出嚟嘅同學,啱啱進入呢個花花世界,眼花撩亂,好容易以為自己已經學識咗好多嘢,成為咗Full-Stack developer,任何難題都能夠解決。但係世事永遠係冇咁著數,實際應用要考慮到嘅各種問題,寫程式嘅刁鑽技巧,冇返三五七年嘅洗禮真係唔敢認叻。
循正統途徑入門嘅developer,絕少會夠膽自認Full-Stack,而真正Full-Stack嘅人,多數都係被逼(例如自己開公司又唔夠錢請人),先會硬著頭皮Full-Stack,但亦唔係所有人都做得到,係需要有相當經驗,投入大量精神時間,加埋有天份嘅人,先有機會可以瓣瓣都精。
所以當收到某bootcamp同學嘅CV,話識晒前台後台又web又app,標明係Full-Stack,就真係要加倍留神。

Have you ever made a post on Instagram that you spent HOURS planning, editing and perfecting only to see it receiving a few likes?
Or how about this – you went LIVE on Instagram and the whole time only one or two people joined in?
I know your pain!😩
I have done LIVE which totally bombed. It was demoralising!
And you probably get these not-so-helpful thoughts 💭 running through your head:
“Maybe what I say has no value to others.”
Or “People don’t like me.”
Or “I am never gonna be as cool as her, I should just give up.”
But then there is another part of you that says, “No, I just have to keep showing up.”
Because that’s what those #motivationalquotes say 👉🏻 “If you keep showing up and be resilient, people are going to come.”
Guess what?
It is INSANITY trying to do the SAME thing over and over again and hoping for a DIFFERENT result.
Resilience is essential, but you need to know what to do differently to attract people to your next LIVE, and to get people to hit that LIKE & FOLLOW button.
And at the other end of the spectrum are the people who try something once and give up when they don’t get the results they hope for.
❌You don’t have to abandon your goals entirely.
It would help if you made slight changes each time.
Tweaking as you go.

A 20 minute at home butt and leg workout with cardio workout moves. Designed to work on butt and leg toning, with body weight. For this quick home workout, you will need a glider and a light weight dumbbell (dumbbell is optional). In this easy beginner home workout, we're going to focus on butt and leg toning with the following workouts:
1: Sumo Squat Jump x 20 reps
2: Lunge with Glider + Tricep Extension (dumbbell optional) X 15 reps + 15 up-and-down pulses.
3: Side Lunge with Glider + Tricep Extension (dumbbell optional) X 15 reps + 15 pulses
4: Lunge Jump x 20 reps
5: Single Leg Deadlift with Tricep Extension (dumbbell optional) x 15 reps

Join me on my first ever booty band class, conducted by our Fio trainer, Tracy Minnoch! I've never worked out with a booty band and I have to say, this workout killed me. I was sore for the next several days but it's sooooo effective! Since then, I've started incorporating booty bands into my routine.
This is a total body workout with farmiliar exercises but made tougher using the piece of booty band to really get our booty, legs, core and arms on fire!!
Beginners, you don't have to be intimidated, as you can take it at your own level. It's a super fun workout which you can do anywhere!
