【#香港研究HKStudies】每年的「香港研究培訓課程」，我都會跟博士生說，不要把香港研究寄托在「發國難財」，否則學者是否要寄望香港不斷處於危機？香港研究要持續，就要走「比較區域研究」的路，要著重香港作為一個比較個案，如何豐富現有文獻（例如香港經驗如何豐富民主化理論）。
Each year in “Hong Kong Studies Research School”, I will tell PhD students that they should never put their hope on “profiteering through national crisis”. Otherwise, are we expecting that Hong Kong should have crisis after crisis? To make Hong Kong Studies sustainable, we should adopt the “comparative area studies” approach, putting emphasis on exploring how Hong Kong as a comparative case could help enrich existing literature (e.g. how the experiences from Hong Kong can enrich democratization theories).

【#香港研究】我一直認為，要壯大香港研究社群，應該從博士生入手，協助同鼓勵佢哋做多啲香港研究。所以香港研究學院將再舉辦大受歡迎嘅「香港研究培訓課程」，提供為期3天嘅免費課程俾本地/外地博士生，第一日有堂上下咁、之後兩日就到「香港研究周年會議」present papers，外地生仲會有免費住宿添。只得10個位，好快啲報名喇。
I always think that one of the best ways to build a stronger Hong Kong Studies Research Community is to help and encourage PhD students to conduct more Hong Kong-related research projects. Therefore the Academy of Hong Kong will organize "Hong Kong Studies Research School" again, offering a FREE 3-day training programme for local/non-local PhD students. It covers training sessions and opportunities to present papers at the Hong Kong Studies Annual Conference. Only 10 places will be offered, please enroll ASAP.
