In two weeks, we will host our first virtual AppWorks AI Meetup featuring one of our alumni, 陳柏儒 (Blue) from RelaJet.
Blue is the co-founder and CEO of RelaJet, which was founded in 2018. Blue is also hearing-impaired, so he understand the problems that those with impaired hearing encounters in their daily communication. He has worked with well-known IC semiconductors and IT companies before, and is knowledgeable about integrating edge computing architecture. He has been using a hearing aid for 30 years and works hard on developing hearing-related products.
AppWorks AI Meetup is a monthly event featuring speakers who have experience with AI and would like to share their knowledge with the greater community. This month, we'd like to focus on the future tech of hearing.
For those with hearing impairments, daily communication with people is always full of challenges. For example, in a coffee shop, when the frequency and energy of each person's speech are close, it is actually very troublesome because it is not easy to focus on one person's voice from the 2D sound amplified by the hearing aid. What RelaJet has done is to create an AI multi-vocal separation engine using neural networks and deep learning technology to extract and segment multiple vocals from a noisy environment.
