從創作者來觀察，詞曲是由克里斯汀和羅伯特夫妻夫妻共同完成，兩人先前的作品有《摩門經》、《Q大道》、電影《冰雪奇緣》中〈Let it Go〉等。這首〈Remenber Me〉以墨西哥亡靈節故事為背景，配合電影中的敘事情節，讓這首歌曲在電影中並不只是一種形式，更讓其參與了情節，成為電影內容的關鍵部分。
