星期天老天爺很給面子
賞了我們一個晴空萬里
讓我想了一個禮拜的拔熊蔥之旅得以出發
Wiki: 『熊葱 Bärlauch,又名野韭菜、熊果大蒜、熊蒜(bear's garlic)、野蒜菜及林地蒜,是一種野生的草本植物,為野生韭黄的近緣種,因熊喜歡採食而得名。其味道如同食用韭菜,但是氣味並不强烈,多生長於林地樹蔭。』
熊蔥在德國每一年就只有3~5月買/採得到
住在德國這幾年我竟然去年才發現它的美味
在台灣時,我其實沒有很喜歡韭菜
或許是因為味道太重
也或許是我現在年紀大了,所以口味變了吧!😆
從其他在德國的台灣人那兒得知
原來這是可以去野外採收的
而且幾乎都是一大片可以無止盡地採呢!
所以我們去了一個人家推薦法蘭克福郊區的林地
沿著小河走了一小段路後
果真在林蔭路邊的樹叢中
找到了一大片熊蔥『田』
看到的那一瞬間,我超興奮!!!
一家四口立馬彎下腰來『領錢』啦!
在一般超市一包才幾片葉子就要€0.99
看到一大片不用錢就可以打包回家的菜
大部分『煮婦』看到這都會比看到帥哥興奮吧😂
我們很努力的拔
把整個垃圾袋都裝好塞滿
除了有一種大嬸省錢心態之外😜
還有一點是
一出手開採,真的停不了內!
這樣的採收真的挺有成就感~哈哈!
重點是,小孩也玩得開心
讓他們多一種生活體驗
也讓他們了解到
大部分時候要有收穫之前要先有付出
(畢竟他們嘴裡沒有金湯匙啊😌)
因為這次拔菜省錢之旅
還看到那一區以前美軍駐紮的基地(照片7、8)
豆比說
以前德國有不少這樣的地方
整個區就像是一個小美國
有自己的達美樂、自己的商店、自己的學校等等、全部就像是美國平行搬移過來的
進入營區是需要有通行證件的
區里每一棟公寓、住宅牆壁上都會有號碼
而現在很多這樣的舊營區不是廢棄了就是改建
也有一些公寓維修後改成一般住宅區
採收一整大袋的熊蔥是很滿足
但是煩惱就來了
我是要怎麼洗這整袋的菜呀~~~😵
看看這一整個洗碗槽裝的量(最後一張照)
是只有我們拔的半袋耶~😑

我相信許多美國人看到包子的第一個反應會把它稱為steamed bun,主要原因在於,有許多美國人都品嚐過叉燒包,而叉燒包則是翻譯成 barbecue-pork-filled bun (baozi) 。

...我覺得語言是為了溝通,而且我並不覺得每一個使用英文的人都會知道bao 意指的是什麼。
雖然baozi跟bao都會出現在一些英文字典,但在與不熟悉華人文化的人交流時,我會以他們熟悉的詞彙來進行解釋什麼是baozi (e.g. steamed bun, a type of filled bun or bread-like dumpling in various Chinese cuisines.)。

我覺得外國人光是理解baozi負擔就有一點重了
...那高麗菜(cabbage)、韭菜(garlic chives)或雪裡紅包子就更別說了。今天是高麗菜包他們(外國人)還可能會知道是cabbage buns,韭菜說不定知道是chives,但今天假如是雪裡紅,連我們自己都不知道它是用什麼菜去做的!
所以你跟外國人去交流的話 ,(用這些詞彙 e.g. garlic chives baozi) 對他們來說,理解上是有點負擔的 (模糊的)。
連母語者都不太清楚,對華人文化不熟悉的外國人又如何知道? 我們自己應該先懂得區分饅頭和包子的不同。

Rendang Chicken from Malaysia ??
While unable to travel even around my own home country ~ Malaysia, I actually craved for Rendang Chicken during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, unsure my craving reason ?? Though I'm not a spicy foodie, however I love foods with spices& thick gravy. Lol...Ha...Ha...?❤
Rendang chicken is a spicy & spices stewed dish originated from Minangkabau, Indonesia. Specifically, this is a speciality of Batusangkar & Bukittinggi, Indonesia. In Malaysia ??, rendang dishes are traditionally served among the Malay community. So, whenever you're travelling across the different states around Malaysia, rendang dishes can be easily spotted at either roadside stalls, cafes or restaurants as well as a famous home cooking dish for the Malay, actually non Malay too. You can enjoy the rendang dish with steamed rice, noodles, bread etc. Hmm...The rendang cooking styles, ingredients & taste may be different from state to state within Malaysia. It's now much easier to prepare rendang dishes with ready to cook sauces in the market. In this vlog, my mum was using the Gillies Rendang from AYA Real Food (? https://ayarealfood.com/product/gillies-rendang-120g/). The sauce ingredients are Split Gill Mushroom, Coconut Milk, Onion, Oil, Sugar, Garlic, Coconut Paste, Lemongrass, Ginger, Galangal, Dried Chili, Salt, Turmeric Leaves, Lime Leaves & Spices
Whenever you're travelling to Malaysia, do remember to taste a rendang dish during your trip

►Ingredients:
Yield: 4 servings
One 1-ounce (30g) piece of galangal, cut into 1/4-in (1-cm) thick slices
3 stalks lemongrass, cut on a bias into 1/4-in (1-cm) thick slices
2 large cloves of garlic
1 shallot
5 kaffir lime leaves, torn with the stems still attached
1 teaspoon chicken stock powder
½ cup fresh straw mushrooms, halved
1 pound (450g) prawns, kept whole
3 bird-eye chilis, sliced on a bias
½ cup sliced onion
3 tablespoon lime juice
3 tablespoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon tom yum paste
1.3 pound (600g) fresh rice noodle
A few sprigs cilantro, chopped
Salt, pepper
1 lime, cut into wedges
Directions
1. Grill the galangal, garlic and shallot on open flame (eg. Grill over a gas burner set on low heat) until slightly charred on the outside. Then rinse and peel off the black bits.
2. Place all grilled items and the lemongrass into a pot filled with 6 cups (1.5 liters) water and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 7 minutes to bring out the aroma.
3. Add the kaffir lime leaves and chicken stock powder. Turn the heat to high, add the mushroom and prawns and cook for 2 minutes until the prawns turn orange red. Then add chilis, tom yum paste and onion and cook for another 1 minute. Turn off the heat.
4. Add lime juice and fish sauce while off heat to maintain the fragrance while avoid making the broth bitter.
5. Divide the noodle into the serving bowls. Ladle the hot soup over. Garnish with some chopped cilantro.
For dipping: Salt pepper lime sauce (muoi tieu chanh): Simply mix half a teaspoon each of salt and pepper, a pinch of sugar and squeeze in a wedge of lime. You will be amazed how such simple sauce can turn out so amazing!
