Pro musicians are not interested in high fidelity audio while they would chase for the subtlest detail differences in the sound of their instruments or recording.
I always thought it was just me and a small group of musicians, until I saw PS Audio’s founder, Paul, giving his perspective on this topic. There could be many reasons, one of them being professionals are too used to having a high standard of their work, so when they are not working they just want something different, something normal perhaps. Hence musicians care more about the emotional impact of their creation, their recording, rather than the system the audio recording is being reproduced on.
As a music producer, I rarely find much interest in hi-fi audio. However I recently upsized to an 85” TV, and the Bose TV Speaker fits just my needs. Like how you would expect a deep voice from a 7ft dude, your auditory sense needs a matching stimulant when watching an 85” TV.
