People say that you should forgive whomever that wrongs you, regardless of whether they ask for forgiveness or not. I THINK THAT'S A LOAD OF CRAP. You shouldn't fixate on the wrongs people commit upon you, yes, but all this unsolicited forgiving ever does, is allow the perpetrator to get off scot free.
Only forgive people who seek forgiveness from you, and only forgive them if they really ARE contrite about their wrongdoings. Otherwise, cast them asunder and forget about them, but don't bother exonerating their sins - it does nothing to benefit you.

#ReligiousFreedom #SharedValuesMonth #AITat40 #AITat40Celebration #StrongFoundationBrightFuture
To celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act, AIT has selected a special theme for each month to highlight our joint accomplishments in that area. We are pleased to announce that March is Shared Values Month.
Our shared values – including democracy, tolerance, freedom, pluralism, and equality under the law – are one of the strongest ties that binds the United States and Taiwan. We continue to work towards ensuring that future generations enjoy these same freedoms and carry forward our shared values. Here are some of the events AIT will be holding in honor of Shared Values Month:
✅ On March 8, International Women’s Day, we will be screening “Time Firsts,” a series of short films about American women who have overcome stereotypes and naysayers to achieve great things in fields ranging from science and the arts to politics, business, and sports.
✅ An international conference entitled “A Civil Society Dialogue on Securing Religious Freedom in the Indo-Pacific Region” will be held in Taipei. This forum will be attended by religious freedom leaders from over 15 countries and the U.S. Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback. This dialogue builds on the July 2018 Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom led by Secretary Pompeo that Taiwan also attended.
✅ The United States and Taiwan will co-sponsor a Global Cooperation and Training Framework international training workshop on combatting corruption in the public and private sectors, which will also include participants from over a dozen countries.
✅ Carrie Sperling, Co-Director of the Wisconsin Innocence Project and an expert on criminal justice reform and legal education, will give a presentation on U.S. and Taiwan approaches to exonerating the innocent.
