《Anatomy for Runners》提到跑者最容易出現的4個效率問題：

>> "Limitations in you body shift the storage and release of elastic energy and increase the cost of running."

>> "Limits in hip extension and big toe dorsiflexion prevent the foot from getting behind the body as it should and block the release of elastic recoil."

>> "Postural weakness and increased lordosis also block the release of elastic energy."

>> "A forward trunk shift combined with increased lordosis dramatically increases energy storage and requires significantly more metabolic work, as well as negatively affecting loading rate. "

這4點可以整理成：

1.「身體活動度受限，特別是髖與腳掌大拇指活動度不足，限制雙腿彈性釋放。」

2. 「軀幹姿勢不佳，上半身往前傾斜或腰椎前推，身體重心改變，導致彈性能吸收與釋放不平衡，並增加代謝負荷。」

跑量是重要的，能夠提升代謝效率。 但是對基礎身體能力：活動度、身體控制、肌肉記憶、力量、技巧等沒有幫助。

總效率 = 代謝效率＋動作效率（＋構造效率）

最後一項身體構造改變不了，天賦每個人不同；但是另外兩項，值得每一位認真的跑者努力。

Safer, longer-lasting, and less expensive batteries for the electrical grid!

Canadian startup Salient Energy is commercializing a new type of battery, the zinc-ion battery that they designed from the atom up for the unique needs of the electrical grid. It is half the cost of lithium-ion, offers double the service life, and uses a water-based chemistry intrinsically safe with zero risks of fire. Unlike many other recent batteries, the zinc-ion battery is completely compatible with lithium-ion manufacturing, meaning production can be quickly and inexpensively scaled. Salient intends to completely replace lithium-ion in grid-scale energy storage applications, a market that will be worth over $30 billion by 2025.
