2️⃣of2️⃣ Fatimah & Ali sing Happy Birthday Version ‘Kelate’
.
Many have requested us to share the video of Fatimah’s 4th birthday party. To be honest, she didn’t have one! On the morning of her birthday, we woke her up by singing ‘Happy Birthday'. Then Mr Dad started wishing and making Du’a (دُعَاء or Prayer), followed by me (Mrs Mom), then Lalajee and Ali. After that, Fatimah herself said a little prayer and thanks. We then exchanged hugs and kisses. No card, no cake!
.
Like other normal school days, she ate her breakfast and got ready for school. Before she left home, she gave me a hug, kiss, thanked me and told me how happy she was. Yes, she was over the moon! For her, today was extra special just because we woke her up by singing ‘Happy Birthday'!
.
Without her knowing, Mr Dad bought her a ‘My Little Pony’ cake and gave it to her teacher so that she could eat it with her friends at school after lunch. No parents were involved, not even us. Only Fatimah, Ali, their friends and teachers.
.
After school, she went out with Mr Dad to buy a Thank You card, chocolate and flowers to surprise me (bless her). After that, our day resumed as other normal days...Eat-Pray-Love!
.
Just before bedtime, we let her open her cards and the gift she got from school. Yes, we made them wait from afternoon till evening to open it in order to build up PATIENCE (Sabr or صَبْرٌ) in their character. As soon as Fatimah opened one of her envelopes, she saw 2 lollipops! Without thinking or even a pause, she gave one to Ali straight away (how thoughtful!). Before opening the one and only gift from her teacher, she told us how her teacher made the paper flower to wrap her gift to make it extra special. And you can tell from her voice and facial expression how much she appreciated it.
.
For the whole day, both of us have been spoilt by Fatimah’s hugs, kisses and thank you’s! She keeps on thanking me for making her feel special and repeatedly thanking Mr Dad for her cake. Her quote of the day, “I am sooo HAPPY!”
