I've always been concern about warming up properly. A few years ago, I pulled my lower back muscle really badly and I wasn't able to workout for a sucky 6 months. It was all because i didn't warm myself up enough. It's important before you dive into either your fav sport, going for a run or hitting weights, to warm up your muscles and your joints nicely.

Here are examples of dynamic stretches that I use regularly. You don't need to do them all, but my personal fav of late are the lizard lunge twists and arm circles. Give them a try if you are sometimes unsure of what to do before your workout.
