จากที่โพสต์ก่อนหน้าแนะนำชาวเพจไปดูซีรีส์ Castle Rock กันแล้ว โพสต์นี้จะแนะนำเมือง Castle Rock กันหน่อย อันที่จริงซีรีส์นี้เป็น anthology ที่เนื้อหาจะเริ่มใหม่ทุกซีซั่น แต่เนื้อเรื่องหลักจะเกิดขึ้นที่เมือง Castle Rock คนที่เป็นแฟน Stephen King ดูแล้วจะร้องอ๋อ สำหรับคนที่ไม่เคยสัมผัสกับงานของลุงมาก่อนดูซีรีส์นี้ได้เลย แล้วค่อยมาอ่านรายละเอียดทีหลังว่าเป็นใครเป็นใครก็ได้
multiverse อภิมหาจักรวาลของ Stephen King หลัก ๆ แล้วผูกพันอยู่กับรัฐ Maine อันเป็นบ้านเกิดของลุง ซึ่งเป็นรัฐที่อยูทางตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศสหรัฐฯ อยู่ห่างจากเมือง Portland ซึ่งเป็นเมืองที่มีประชากรมากที่สุดของรัฐ ประมาณ 37 ไมล์ (เกือบ 60 กม.) ถ้าเปรียบกับแผนที่รัฐ Maine ของจริง เมืองนี้น่าจะอยู่ละแวก Oxford County เป็นชายแดนติดกับรัฐ New Hampshire
ชื่อเมืองนี้เป็นชื่อที่แต่งขึ้นโดยนำมาจากชื่อภูเขาที่ใช้เป็นป้อมปราการในนิยายเรื่อง Lord of the flies (ชื่อไทย - วัยเยาว์อันสิ้นสูญ) โดย William Golding นอกจากนี้ยังมีเมือง Derry และ Jerusalem's Lot เมืองสมมติในรัฐ Maine ที่อยู่ในงานเขียนอีกหลายเรื่องของลุง
Castle Rock อยู่ใน Castle County เขตสมมติที่มีเมืองสมมติในเขตนั้นอีก ได้แก่ เมือง Castle Lake และ Castle View น่าจะมีประชากรในเมืองไม่เกิน 2 พันคน ทั้งนี้ หากใครเคยอ่านเรื่อง Under the dome ที่เกิดขึ้น ณ เมือง Chester's mill เมืองนี้อยู่ติดกับเมือง Castle Rock โดยมีโดมครอบกั้นอยู่
