運動後你會選飲清水還是運動飲料?聽說運動飲料能更快速補充人體水份,而且甜甜的味道比水更可口,難怪不少人會選擇運動飲料。運動飲料一般含有電解質、碳水化合物、蛋白質、維他命和礦物質等,原理是為肌肉提供燃料及補充身體流失的水分,補充血糖,避免抽筋或心臟無力的情況發生;而為了易入口,更會加入檸檬酸、香料等添加物。但要注意一般運動量,如慢跑、瑜伽等過後飲用清水已經足夠,運動飲料只適合進行劇烈運動,如馬拉松、打籃球等大量流汗後飲用,消耗量不足又過量飲用,反而會惹痰濕致肥!
理解運動飲料的原理後,其實不妨自行製作,材料非常簡單,只需要以水(補充水份)、鮮榨果汁(補充碳水化合物)及鹽(補充鈉質及鉀質)即可,價錢相宜之餘又可避免不必要的添加物。
自製運動飲料
材料:水500毫升、鮮榨果汁500毫升、鹽少許
做法:在水中加入鮮榨果汁,再加入適量鹽拌勻即可。
小貼士:炎炎夏日去沙灘玩,運動量不高的話,飲杯椰青水、西瓜汁甚至米水都可以為身體消暑及補充水份。

Do you have water or sports drink after exercising? A lot of people choose to have sports drink thinking it can replenish fluids quickly with a sweet delicious flavour. Sports drinks usually contain electrolytes, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and minerals. The concept is to provide the muscles with fuel, replenish body fluids and blood sugar, avoid cramping or heart weakness. To make it more appetizing, citric acid or spices may be added. For regular exercising such as jogging or yoga, water is usually enough and sports drink is suitable for intense exercises such as marathon, basketball. If you did not consume a lot of energy and have a lot of sports drink, it could cause weight gain and phlegm and dampness.
Once you understand the concept behind sports drink, you can try to make some yourself with simple ingredients: water (to replenish fluids), fresh fruits (carbohydrates), salt (sodium and potassium). It is cheaper to make without unnecessary additives.
DIY Sports Drink
Ingredients: 500ml water, 500ml fresh juice, small amount of salt
Preparation: Mix juice into water and add in appropriate amount of salt.
Small tips: when you go to the beach in the summer and exercise level is not high, you can have coconut water, watermelon juice, or rice water to relieve heat and replenish fluids.

You can of course add some toppings. It was my son's request that he does not need anything other than potatoes. haha
Sōmen (素麺) is very thin Japanese noodles made of wheat flour. The noodles are usually served cold in summer with a Dashi flavored tasty dipping sauce called Mentsuyu (めんつゆ).

Potato Somen Noodles Recipe
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 10min
Number of servings: as much as you want
Ingredients:
potatoes
Mentsuyu (dipping sauce)
condiments of your choice
Directions:
1. Wash and peel potatoes. Put water in a bowl. Using a slicer, slice potatoes into thin strips. Soak in water to remove extra starch.
2. In boiling water, add salt, then blanch the potatoes for 15 seconds. Drain in a strainer and quickly wash with cold water before the potato strips get soft with remaining heat.
3. Dip in diluted Mentsuyu (as instructed on its package) to eat.

((Somen Dipping Sauce from scratch))
* 300ml Dashi broth (using packaged dashi powder saves time)
* 4 tbsp. Mirin (sweet Sake)
* 4 tbsp. soy sauce
In a pot, bring Dashi broth, Mirin, and soy sauce to a boil. You can also microwave until it comes to a boil. Cool in the fridge until ready to serve.

Mini Gingerbread House Mug Topper Recipe
🎄 Preparation:

➋ piping bags and nozzles, or make a parchment bag for piping, 2mm is for sticking, 1.5mm is for decoration
🎄 Yields: Can make 14~16 gingerbread houses
✎ Ingredients
🎄 For the cookies
unsalted butter 125g, softened
brown sugar 90g
molasses 58g
egg 1, at room temperature
all purpose flour 370g
baking soda 5g
salt 2.5g
grated ginger 10g
ground cinnamon 1.5g
nutmeg powder 1g
🎄 For the Royal Icing
vanilla extract 1.5g
powdered sugar 200g, sifted
powdered egg white 7.5g
warm water 25g~30g
✎ Instructions
🎄 For the cookies
1. In a large bowl, add butter, sugar and molasses, beat on mid-low speed, mix well until light and smooth.
2. Add egg and ginger, beat on medium speed until well combined. Scrape down the sides and the bottom of the bowl and beat again if needed to combine.
3. Sift the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, nutmeg powder and salt.
4. Fold in all dry ingredients, continue to mix until well blended, the dough should come together.
5. Transfer the dough out onto a work surface and knead until the dough is smooth and combined. Wrap the dough with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 1 hour to chill.
6. Preheat the oven to 170°C.
7. Lightly flour the work surface and roll the dough to about 3mm thick.
8. Dust the dough lightly with flour to avoid sticking. Place the house pattern pieces on the dough, dip the knife into flour and cut out the pattern pieces from the dough (cut the door, but remove it after baking). You will need TWO of each shape.
9. Bake at 170°C for 10 minutes or until the edges are just beginning to brown. Large pieces will need more time.
10. Once baked, cut the door first, and then remove all cookies on racks to cool completely.
🎄 For the royal icing
1. Sieve the 200g of powdered sugar and 7.5g of powdered egg white in a bowl.
2. Add 1.5g of vanilla extract and 25g of warm water and beat at medium speed for 5 minutes.
3. Fill the Pastry Bag With Royal Icing. You will need at least two piping bags, one is for a thick line to glue the pieces of house together. Another one is a thin line to decorate the house. The royal icing is the best icing to use for gingerbread houses, it'll dry hard and last throughout the holiday season.
🎄 Assembling
1. Start with the front and the back pieces and two sides, then take the side piece and stick them together, do the same with the other side.
2. Grab the back piece and give it a nice firm. Then the base of the house is done. Wait for the icing sets before adding the roof.
3. Sticking the roof pieces in the same way, add lines of icing on all the edges, hold them together and allow the icing to set. It's probably best to let this dry overnight that way all the royal icing is definitely hard before decorating.
4. You can decorate with any pattern you like and custom detail. You can practice how to draw a line or draw a pattern on a board or plate before putting them on your house. But remember, once finished the decorating, please let the icing dry for a couple hours. Have fun.

芝心披薩麵團 / Pizza Dough with Cheese Crust
可做一個13吋披薩,夠2~3人份 / Make One 13" Pizza
3 g 速發酵母 / instant yeast
5 g 砂糖 / sugar
5 g 鹽 / salt
12 g 奶粉 / milk powder
160 g 冷水 / cold water
10 g 植物油 / vegetable oil
250 g 高筋麵粉 / bread flour
6~8 條 乾酪條(起士條)/ string cheese (也可用莫札瑞拉起士/mozzarella 切條替代)
披薩配料 / Pizza Topping:
1 罐 披薩醬 / pizza sauce (不會全部用完,原始尺寸會用到2~3大匙)
200~300 g 莫澤瑞拉起士 / mozzarella cheese
50 g 帕瑪森起士 / parmesan cheese
2 顆 大蒜磨泥 / garlic puree
2 大匙 橄欖油 / olive oil
各種海鮮(蝦子、花枝、蟹肉棒、小干貝) / various seafood (shrimps, cuttlefish, crab stick, small scallops)
¼ 顆 紅洋蔥 / red onion ((切條))
