หลังจากเปิดตัวไปในงาน Nintendo Direct 2021 ที่ผ่านมา ตอนนี้ Chocobo GP พร้อมปล่อยข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมแล้ว

ในงาน Tokyo Game Show 2021 มีการเปิดเผยข้อมูลรวมไปถึงวิดีโอเกมเพลย์การเล่นของตัวเกมออกมาเพิ่ม ซึ่งตัวเกมจะมีโหมดเนื้อเรื่องที่อิงตัวละครและเนื้อหาจาก Final Fantasy และนับได้ว่าเป็นผู้สืบทอดจากตัวเกม Chocobo Racing บน PS1 อย่างแท้จริงด้วย

ในส่วนของเนื้อเรื่องนั้นคือ Chocobo และผองเพื่อนได้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันที่มีรางวัลเป็น "ทุกสิ่งที่พวกเขาปรารถนา" การแข่งขันได้เกิดขึ้นในสถานที่ต่าง ๆ และจะได้พบกับตัวละครใหม่มากมาย ที่มาจากซีรีส์ Final Fantasy ในหลาย ๆ ภาค

ในแต่ละตัวละครนั้นจะมียานพาหนะที่ต่างกัน และมีความเร็ว การยึดเกาะถนน การเร่งความเร็ว การดริฟท์ที่แตกต่างกันอีกด้วย และในระหว่างการแข่งขันยังสามารถเก็บ Magic Eggs เพื่อรับพลังเวทย์มนต์มาใช้ได้ เช่น ปล่อยน้ำลงไปบนลู่ถนน หรือสาปแช่งผู้เล่นคนอื่นให้ควบคุมรถไม่ได้ในเวลาที่กำหนด หรือแม้แต่ M Barrier ที่เอาไว้ป้องกันการโจมตีทุกชนิด

ตัวละครแต่ละตัวจะมีไม้ตายอย่าง Super Move ที่ใช้ในการพลิกผันรูปเกม ทำให้เกมนี้มีชีวิตชีวาและเล่นได้สนุกมากยิ่งขึ้น และท้ายที่สุดคือโหมด Multiplayer ที่จะรองรับทั้งการเล่นออนไลน์และการเล่นแบบแบ่งหน้าจอ และจะรองรับผู้เล่นได้มากที่สุดถึง 8 คนด้วยกัน

งานนี้ใครที่คิดถึง Chocobo Racing ก็เตรียมตัวสนุกกันได้กับ Chocobo GP มีกำหนดวางจำหน่ายในปี 2022 บนเครื่อง Nintendo Switch เท่านั้น
