Restoration for your Own Mistakes

Perhaps you are thinking, “Yes I know I can expect restoration when the devil attacks me or if I am persecuted. But I am suffering now because of my own mistake. Surely I cannot expect God to restore me? I will have to suffer and pay for my mistake.”

Well, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is called the good news because it is really undeserved favor. Even if you are suffering losses from your own mistakes, you can still expect to receive restoration that is better in quality and/or quantity than before.

I know it sounds too good to be true, but I am not just making that up. Look at Abraham’s story. He told his wife Sarah to lie to everyone in Gerar that she was only his sister.

He did this because Sarah had been renewed in her youth and was exceedingly beautiful. Abraham was afraid that if the people knew that she was his wife, they would kill him and take her for themselves.

After hearing that Sarah was only Abraham’s sister, the king of Gerar, Abimelech, took Sarah into his harem.

Reading this story, it is clear that Abraham is the one at fault. He lied that Sarah was only his sister, and his lies stemmed from cowardice and self-preservation, endangering Sarah’s chastity.

Yet, when God wanted to save Sarah from being violated, He threatened Abimelech and his family with death if he decided not to restore Sarah to Abraham.

“God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also withheld you from sinning against me. Therefore I didn’t allow you to touch her. Now therefore, restore the man’s wife. For he is a prophet, and he will pray for you, and you will live. If you don’t restore her, know for sure that you will die, you, and all who are yours.”” (Genesis‬ ‭20:6-7‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Shouldn’t it be Abraham who was threatened with death for his cowardice and lies? This is God’s Grace towards the righteous ones who are justified by faith. Even if you make a mistake, God is not punishing you for your sins—His heart is to restore you for the negative consequences of your wrong actions.

What does restore “the man’s wife” mean? Is it just to give Sarah back to Abraham? Let us examine what Abimelech did:

“Abimelech took sheep and cattle, male servants and female servants, and gave them to Abraham, and restored Sarah, his wife, to him. Abimelech said, “Behold, my land is before you. Dwell where it pleases you.” To Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all that are with you. In front of all you are vindicated.”” (Genesis‬ ‭20:14-16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Wow, instead of just giving Sarah back to Abraham, Abimelech gave sheep, cattle, servants, land and a thousand pieces of silver to Abraham. Even though Abraham was the originator of the problem, he was enriched through his mistake.

This is what God’s restoration looks like. You never just get the same thing back. It will always be better in quality and/or quantity when He restores you for your losses.

Even though Abraham made mistakes in his life, he had a great relationship with God, such that the Scriptures call him “a friend of God”. Whenever God appeared and spoke to him, he paid attention, delighting in the words and meditated on them.

An example of this would be God’s promise to him that he would have a son who was born of Sarah. Abraham never gave up on that promise, and eventually, he received the fulfillment of it.

“Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.” (Psalms‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Although we are born-again and our spirits are righteous, holy and perfect like Jesus, we still live in this body of sinful flesh. Sometimes we get confused, thinking that the fleshly impulses and thoughts are our own. This causes us to make mistakes.

However, if you have a heart for God’s word like Abraham did, even the mistakes you unwittingly make will prosper. What you did may not be good, but God can still turn things around for your good because He is for you, not against you. Since you are righteous in Christ, you can expect to receive restoration for your losses, even if they were caused by your own mistakes!

Don’t Forfeit your Harvest

“The farmer sows the word. The ones by the road are the ones where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them. These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy. They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble. Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word, and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.”” (Mark‬ ‭4:14-20‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

No matter what tactics the enemy uses, his goal is the same: to prevent God’s word from producing a good harvest in your life.

When he snatches it away quickly, it could be as simple as when you are not paying attention during a sermon because of using your smartphone to scroll through social media. As a result, you did not even hear most of what the preacher was saying.

If that does not work, Satan can choose the forceful method or the soft method. He either comes like a roaring lion or a fowler.

The lion method would be to intimidate you into giving up on God’s promises. For example, you might have started trusting God for a breakthrough in your finances, but the enemy deliberately sends many unforeseen bills your way. Appliances at home start breaking down, and freak injuries or illnesses happen, leading to expensive medical bills. These are some ways Satan roars so that you lose trust in God for provision.

On the other hand, the fowler method would be to set traps to lure you into worldly things. He wants you obsessed and distracted with the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. This way, you will lose focus on God’s word and the seed that stops being watered in your heart will not produce a harvest.

For example, he may get you obsessed with politics, entertainment, earning money, lewdness, so that your mind is never on God’s word. If you keep leaving a plant unattended and in dry weather, it will wither away.

Only Christians who patiently persevere through all these dirty tactics of the enemy will experience a good harvest from having faith in God’s word.

Obviously the enemy knows the power of God’s word and that is why he tries his best to stop you from having faith in it.

The devil knows that once God’s word produces harvests in your life, he will have to relinquish any hold he had in that area. Try as he might, he is defenseless against God’s power.

Hearing God’s word, believing it, and speaking it over yourself may seem like such over-preached truths, but that is because God’s way for us is just that simple. Jesus completed all the hard work at the cross, and now we get to restfully reap the benefits of what He did for us.

It is easy to say, “I know this already,” but the question is: are you really doing it consistently? Ask yourself this and if this message stirs up your faith to get back on the right track of voraciously hearing and hearing God’s word, then its purpose is done!

Ada orang bukan Islam tanya, kenapa Allah tak hentikan Rogol?
Mereka nak dunia ni akan auto stop bila buat jenayah, mereka nak bila orang nak buat jahat, terus keluar malaikat stop perkara tu.

Bayangkan dunia macam tu?

Bayangkan orang terpandang Wanita cantik, tiba tiba buta, orang nak pergi rogol, tiba tiba mati pucuk, orang nak mencuri tiba tiba lumpuh, orang tidur masuk waktu solat, tiba tiba malaikat kejut, angkat, dan dirikan suruh solat.

Orang nak makan, tiba tiba pinggang terbalik sebab dah makan lebih dari had?

Best ke hidup macam tu? Jadi robot? semua orang buat baik sahaja sebab jika buat sikap, tangan jadi keras, kaki jadi lumpuh, mata jadi buta? nak macam tu? tiada peluang taubat? buat salah terus terhukum?

Apa jadi jika hidup macam tu? Tak ada kebebasan memilih? Semua kena ikut program macam robot?

Padahal Tuhan dah buat babi yang makan najis, tak pernah ubah menu, Tuhan dan buat harimau makan daging sejak beribu ribu tahun tak pernah ubah menu? Kenapa?

Kerana hidup binatang ni tiada kebabasan memilih, mereka akan kekal bertelanjang, makan menu yang dah ditakdirkan, dan hidup bebas ikut nafsu! Tuhan dah buat makluk yang takde akal macam manusia.

Best ke jika hidup macam binatang yang takde idea langung nak tukar menu makanan? hidup nafsu nafsi, berak kencing tak payah basuh, bebas!

Deep sikit, binatang macam teruk sangat contohnya, tahukah anda, Tuhan juga dah cipta malaikat yang takde nafsu, hidupnya ibadat sahaja siang malam, tiada syurga neraka untuk Malaikat.

Tiada yang berkahwin, tiada yang makan, semua ibadat sahaja, Tuhan dah buat makluk macam tu.

Kemudian Tuhan cipta manusia makluk paling unik yang dikurniakan kebolehan pilih apa sahaja nak buat, hidup adalah ujian, buat baik balas baik, buat jahat di balas jahat.

Maka menu makanan manusia tak sama tiap tahun, berubah rubah, ada nasi goreng kampung melayu, mee goreng mamak india, nasi goreng cina, mee pedang korea, nasi goreng USA, macam macam! Tuhan benarkan, nak makan babi pun Tuhan tak lumpuhkan mulut, tapi ingat, hidup ini ujian. semua itu ada mahkamah menanti lepas mati.

Pakaian juga macam macam fesyen. 60-an, 90-an, GenX, Gen Y, macam macam! Semua Tuhan benarkan. Nak seksi nak seksa, Tuhan benarkan, takde yang sedang seksi tiba tiba kena sopak, tapi ingat, semua itu uJian, ada mahkamah menanti lepas mati.

Nak Beragama pun macam macam pilihan, ada yang sembah batu, sembah kayu, sembah anak Tuhan, sembah duit, tak sembah apa apapun ada, tiada yang tiba tiba tak percaya tuhan jadi gila, takder, tapi ingat, hidup ini ujian, semua itu ada mahkamah menanti lepas mati.

Maka perkara yang sama dalam jenayah, nak bunuh orang, nak rogol, nak mencuri, ustaz buat jahat, semua tu takde tiba tiba lumpuh atau kena sawan, korang boleh bebas buat jenayah, tapi ingat, hidup ini ujian. semua itu ada mahkamah menanti lepas mati.

Maka kerana bebas memilihlah dunia ini menjadi indah dengan pelbagai pilihan, nak buat baik boleh, nak buat jahat pun boleh.

Jika nak hidup yang dikawal macam robot, Tuhan dah buat babi yang makan tahik tadi, makan sahaja najis tak perlu fikir apa apa, sampai masa mati jadi tanah.

Tapi manusia, Tuhan cipta dengan kuasa memilih, bagi akal, bagi fikiran, bagi nafsu, dan dengan akal fikiran semua manusia sangat percaya negara terbaik adalah Negara yang ada system keadilan, ada mahkamah, yang akan hukum orang bersalah.

Hari ni bila Hitler bunuh sejuta Yahudi termasuk wanita dan kanak kanak lepas tu Hitler pergi bunuh diri, nampak macam lepas di mahkamah dunia, tapi mahkamah Akhirat ada sedia menanti.

Hari ni jika anak kecik kita kena culik dengan ustad jahat, lepas tu dia liwat dan rogol, lepas tu dia tanam mana mana, lepas tu dia bunuh diri, nampak macam lepas di mahkamah dunia, tapi akhirat, ustad tu tak boleh lari sebab Mahkamah Allah sangat adil.

Hari ni jika kita kemalangan sebab orang langgar lari, kita lumpuh, anak isteri mati, dan orang tu kita tak tahu lari ke mana, nampak macam dia lepas mahkamah dunia tapi dia tak akan dapat lari dari mahkamah akhirat, itu pasti! dan itulah keadilan!

Dan orang orang yang sedang memperokol olokkan Islam, hina Allah, kutuk agama islam, tapi masih kekal sihat, dapat makan, belum lumpuh, juga masih boleh melihat kerana Allah sangat rasional dan memberitahu tahu dalam Al quran, mereka akan diberikan tempoh (untuk enjoy) dan dikirimkan utusan. (untuk menegur)

Dan jika hina pulak utusan Allah, tidaklah terus Allah azab mereka, bagi lagi mereka peluang untuk berfikir, kadang diuji sikit susah agar ingat kita ni lemah, tapi orang sombong tetap nak lawan Allah.

Tak lama kemudian semua mati kecuali Allah!

Maka Kematian adalah Keadilah terbaik ciptaan Allah, semua akan mati, dan semua akan masuk mahkamah Allah.

Mangsa rogol, mangsa bunuh, akan dapat keadilan hidup si syurga!

Anak anak orang bukan islam yang mati sebelum baligh, akan terus masuk syurga!

Orang OKU yang sabar akan dapat syurga.

Orang yang merogol, bunuh orang, munafik, kafir, akan masuk neraka!

Dan Hidup ini hanyalah mimpi, kita bila bangun dari mimpi ngeri tak rasa pun susah dan sakit, begitulah perasaan ahli syurga, akan anggap susah di dunia hanya mimpi.

Perkara sama yang menimpa ahli neraka, senang didunia hanya rasa bagai mimpi.

Maka kita semua tak payah sombong lah, sebab hidup terlalu singkat untuk bergaduh dengan Tuhan, esok lusa semua mati, Tak akan ada yang mampu hidup selamanya, semua akan ke mahkamah Allah,

Dan tolong jangan bercakap macam pintu Taubat dah tertutup, atau macam korang dah di jatuhkan hukuman ke dalam neraka, sebab Pintu taubat masih terbuka, maka semua orang kafir yang masih hidup boleh bertaubat.

Orang islam pun bukan semua ke syurga, kena bertaubat dulu! Sebab semua orang akan berdosa namun sebaik baik pendosa adalah yang minta ampun pada Allah dan berjanji tidak akan buat dosa lagi!

“Tapi Hamka , Masalah islam ialah, islam tak boleh ada flaw sebab Tuhan sepatutnya perfect . Even kalau ada 1 flaw pun, islam itu adalah palsu. Cuba buka minda dan fikir,berapa flaws yang mungkin ada dalam islam? Poligami?, wanita dipinggirkan? Puasa tahan lapar 12 jam? Kuasa cerai tangan suami? Wanita kena bertudung? Murtad hokum bunuh? Dan lain lain, Itu semua adalah kecacatan dalam Islam, Islam have flaws. That’s why god doesn't exist”

Adohai, jika nak bantah memang tak habis 1400 tahun pun, sedanh hidup 63 tahun lebih dari cukup, senag beginilah, Islam datang dari Tuhan, dan datang dalam betuk arahan, dan arahan ni ada yang pandang perfect(believer) dan ada yang pandang flaws(atheist), sebagai contoh dalam Al quran Allah perintah makhluk lain sujud pada Nabi Adam.

Bagi malaikat, perintah ini perfect, merekapun sujud, tapi bagi syaitan, perintah sujud pada Adam, di anggap flaws, syaitan bantah, siap dengan hujah, tapi akhirnya syaitan masuk neraka.

So just because islam look flaws from devil eyes, doesn’t mean God does not exist.

Originally written for the student produced film 'Papillon', the song 'butterfly' depicts the despair behind the protagonist in the film who attempted suicide at the end of the film.

The 'butterfly project' has been created for self-harmers who feel like they have the motivation to stop from doing so. Whenever one feels like self-harming, he/she is instructed to draw a butterfly on the intended place of harm. Therefore, 'butterfly' in this song symbolizes hope and a sense of achievement.
